Excellent! Everything we had was thoughtful, simply executed and tasty! First, get the oyamel and/or serrano margaritas- you'll understand why. That salt foam is genius and the margaritas are perfectly balanced (I usually don't order margaritas because they are too sweet/syrupy and not balanced). Get the aguachile, tacos, cauliflower try it all. Plus, their chips came out hot and seasoned, the salsa was tasty and fresh. No complaints here. We had a wonderful meal and our server was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and upbeat. We will definitely return! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Tortilla Chips and Salsa

My husband brought me here for my birthday meal with my family. They gave us 3 menus- brunch, regular entrees/tapas, and restaurant week ($25/person). We chose the restaurant week menu for 3 people and decided to try many things on the menu, family style. Each person gets 4 items. They served us a huge bowl of chips and salsa as soon as we were seated. It was free and offered to everyone. We even asked for a refill since the chips were so crunchy and yummy. A bit salty so we tapped the chip on the plate to catch the seasoning. The food was fairly good but not the best Mexican food I’ve had. The waiters were super attentive. It was a cold day today so I asked for hot water and the waiter came to ask me if I wanted a refill before I even asked. Dirty plates were taken away as soon as we moved it aside to the edge of the table. I got 3 clean plate changes! I never had to call a waiter over because they would come at the right moments before we needed to call them. Seriously, this is one of the best service I’ve received at a restaurant. 10/10 The decor is pretty cool with butterflies hanging from the ceiling, and another ceiling covered with flowers. Almost reminds me of “Encanto” the restaurant was packed with many people. There was a cool guacamole making station also. We made a reservation the day before, so we didn’t have to wait. We were seated almost immediately. Restrooms were clean and located on the lower level. We found street parking just one block from the restaurant near the Starbucks. Excellent restaurant week experience at Oyamel! This was my third time dining at Oyamel and my first restaurant week with them. The five course mean was a deal and there were so many options for each course, I had a hard time choosing what to order! My favorites were the beef taco and the tres leches dessert. Of course the guacamole is always a must and the magaritas are perfect! Loving coming to Oyamel and highly recommend visiting during restaurant week! We recently dined at a Oyamel Mexican restaurant that left a lasting impression. I like the vibrant atmosphere and colorful decor. The menu boasted a wide array of authentic dishes, especially tacos. We started with freshly made guacamole, prepared in the middle of restaurant with ripe avocados and zesty lime. The chips were crispy and freshly made, and the guacamole was a perfect balance of creamy and flavorful. For the main course, I opted for the tacos, and they did not disappoint. The beef was tender and juicy, complemented by the freshness of cilantro and onions. The restaurant’s margaritas were exceptional, we tried pomegranate margarita and it was strong with a tequila kick. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Portions were small, but enough for one person, not sharable size. The service is fast. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a taste of Mexico in a warm and inviting setting. One of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve ever been to. And we’ve been to a lot 😂. The flavours are definitely authentic, but at the same time traditional dishes get an upgraded modern cuisine touch that elevates them to a higher level. Everything we had was just better than what we were familiar with. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Stopped in for a bite to eat when walking past. Was not disappointed. Every single thing ordered was packed full of flavour. Our server Albert was knowledgeable and attentive. A warning though, it is quite expensive. But in my opinion, worth it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We dropped in for lunch on a Thursday and had self-seating at the bar with full menu available. Top marks all around! The bartender gave impressive service to us and those that arrived immediately afterwards, quickly filling the seats around us. While he had mistakenly entered two of one item in place of another we had ordered, the correction was quick and he let us keep the extra plate. We had a mix of small plates and loved them all. We especially enjoyed the sweet potato tamal - lots of good flavors with a smooth texture served atop a decorative corn husk.
