Food was phenomenal! Super spicy and deep flavor. The portions were generous. My favorite Sichuan dish is shui zhu yu and they had it. It’s listed as fish and vegetables in chili broth on the menu. I was not disappointed and I wish I lived in town so I could get it more often.
My husband got the chili squid and he asked for it extra spicy. They accommodated but made sure to keep the balance of the flavors. It was so well cooked and the squid was buttery tender. My husband was super happy with it.
My friend got the shredded chicken dish and it was love at first bite. The chicken was crispy outside but super tender and moist on the inside. Had a nice spicy kick.
One thing that should be noted is that rice isn’t included in the entrees. They charge $2.50. Normally this would upset me because rice is such an essential part of the meal, but the food was so good, I don’t even care lol. 10/10 would recommend.

I really enjoyed the spicy dry fish fillet. It was a little salty for my taste but I would definitely get again.

Oxyear has only been opened for a year. The owner offered an off-menu item- sautéed pea shoots just picked up in Boston. Never had it before, but it was delicious! The sesame bamboo shoots salad - incredible! Cumin tofu- savory. “Food Court” in the restaurant name initially threw us off prior to the drive from North Andover. Oxyear is a very casual neighborhood restaurant with simple, practical seating. The owner is extremely very proud of his cooking and it came through all of our dishes! Definitely worth the drive to Lowell versus Chinese restaurants near us. A group sitting next to us were frequent patrons and raving about their noodle soups and Oxyear’s authentic food offerings. We will be back! Please support this new restaurant!

He served us a lot of rice! This place is clean, quiet but yet busy! I’ve had food from other places in Lowell and surrounding towns, this hands down is the best!

Support these folks. They offer a mix of traditional American Chinese classics, BUT you will come back for the authentic dishes that are widely unavailable in Lowell.
