Went there for lunch yesterday around 3 PM. The place was almost entirely deserted. For some reason, the host decided to seat us at a tiny half booth / half table thing over by the bar. I guess they were anticipating that Thursday 3 PM rush or something... To me, it felt like we were intentionally put in uncomfortable seating. I have no idea why. We waited for 10 minutes and not even a drink order was taken. The waitress came over to the table near us to check on them and was told everything was fine. She walked by us and told us she'll be with us in a minute. This whole time we're seeing flies all over the place. Generally, I assume that if there's a ton of flies in the dining room, there's a cleanliness problem in the kitchen. That was enough red flags for us. How many flies have to be flying around the dining room for it to be a health code violation? From the moment we walked in, this place was disgusting and had flies all around the dining room. It was almost empty and we can see why. But they sat us at a tiny table barely big enough for one person meanwhile another guy eating by himself had a big booth big enough for a family and there were a couple dozen empty booths. We sat there at our table small enough to fit in a doll house and waited for our waitress. After a few minutes of fighting off and killing flies coming out of our menu, the waitress came over and told us she would be with us in a few minutes…she had no one else to wait on so why not get our drink order? We decided to leave and both the waitress and the hostess told us to have a great day but never asked us if everything was okay or what was making us leave. They simply didn’t care if we left. I’m glad we didn’t give them any of our money but honestly they can do with investing in some fly traps because as annoying as their employees are, the bugs are worse. You Need To Know? Arrived around 5:15 to the home of the juiciest steak & we were seated immediately. We all had salads, a filet, a TBone, & a sirloin steak. The steak & potatoes were as advertised, juicy & flavorful. It's a must try if your in the mood for a steak! This is a very good Outback Steakhouse location! The staff was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The food was hot and tasted wonderful. The service is great and the atmosphere is very calming and laid back. The drinks are so good too. We are definitely coming back here! Thank you all so much ! Food was amazing. Love our lavender blueberry lemonade. I got a gift card from them for Mothers Day. Our server was amazing. The only thing was our appetizer came out just a few moments before the main course. The Outback Steakhouse has been around for 35 years, and has grown into a nationwide chain. Although some chain restaurants may rest on their laurels over time, this doesn't appear to be the case with Outback. We arrived around 7 p.m. on a Friday evening, and were warmly greeted and escorted to our booth in the corner of the dining area. Our server, Christine, was a lovely woman and very conversational without going overboard. The Chicken on the Barbie was excellent, the breast tender and flavorful with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and a salad. Although the salad was adequate, with a tasty mustard vinaigrette, the remainder of the meal shined. The bone-in ribeye (served medium) was grilled to perfection and very delicious, served with a loaded baked potato and a French onion soup (which cost extra). The steak seasoning made the dish all the more scrumptious. Outback Steakhouse -- particularly the restaurant at the Arena Hub in Wilkes-Barre Township should not be looked over just because it's a chain. There's a reason why the business has been around for 3½ decades. The quality of the food, service, and atmosphere was wonderful, and deserves a visit. I decided to go back to Outback even after my issues with the other out of state location. I love them overall. I always order Alice Springs Chicken, the flavor combo is delicious and, I love the homemade honey mustard. We ordered a burger, bloomin onion, chicken fingers, steak, and a Wallaby Darned. The food was delicious and quick. The service was excellent. Overall we were very happy with this Outback.
