Really delicious Italian food. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which were extraordinary. The meatballs are a specialty blend of pork, beef and spices that simply melts in your mouth. The servers were friendly and attentive, all made better by a cozy, intimate atmosphere. My only complaint was the lack of any bread to compliment my meal. I would have loved mopping up that delicious sauce with a big hunk of garlic bread. All in all it was a memorable meal that beckons my return for more. Good food, nice presentation and prompt service. On point. The pana cotta was very good! Compare to other restaurants in Boquete that are way over priced Otto is right on the money. Definitely worth couple more visits. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person PAB 20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
5 stars for the very friendly staff. 1 star because the place is owned by the same guy as retrogusto. This man responds very aggressive and unprofessional to all negative reviews to his (other) restaurants. He threatens to undertake legal actions, just because he can’t stand (a lot of) people not liking his food. My advice is: avoid all these places. His responses to reviews show the level of service in his restaurants. Furthermore, this much negativity is not good to be exposed to. If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen

Meal was delicious and inexpensive. One of the better meals we had in Boquete this trip. Daughter had lasagna. Husband and I had steak. Meatballs were delish. Would return.
Today they had a Valentines special and we ordered the Beef Carpaccio that was EXCELLENT!!!!!! It was so good that my husband recommended they put it on their regular menu. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Pasta Bolognese

Had dinner here. Did not like it and got sick because of the meatballs. Staff is friendly, but the place belongs to the same Italian owner of many places in town. He replies like a mad man to critical reviews of his restaurants. He threatens to initiate legal proceedings if you post something negative. He can better spent his time taking some anger management course. Looking forward to a hysteric reply to this review. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Stylish decor, modern bistro. Unfortunately, that was the only good thu g apart from the friendly hostess. If I could, I'd give Otto Gastronomia Italiana a negative 5. The food was terrible and, because of the poor quality, overpriced. We were expecting a traditional Italian meal made from fresh, quality ingredients as their website says. When I asked about the classic lasagna, I was told it doesn't have mozzarella - really? The website touts their mozzarella bar, yet they skip this traditional ingredient in their "classic" lasagna? So, I ordered the spaghetti bolognese. It had too much tomato sauce, almost no meat and was very, very salty. I asked for more sauce thinking it would improve the flavor but it didn't. My husband had to add olive oil to his pasta carbonera because it was so dry. How is it possible that this place is owned by and Italian family as the website said? I asked the young, inexperienced server who told me that the chef is not Italian and neither is the owner. The server said that the owner is from Spain but "traveled a lot in Italy" and right now is away on vacation for 30 days. That explains it!!! We were hungry so we ate what we could. When we went to pay, the server asked us how much we were going to tip him. That was just a ridiculous question given the awful experience 😅 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person PAB 15–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
