Not my ideal Japanese steak house. Servers were rude. The grill chef was a 16yr old white kid with no skills except the food tasted good. He didn't talk or do anything but cook. It was my kids birthday and they didn't even day happy birthday. Just a dry dark atmosphere with no personality or manners. I won't go back. The kid chef would do better at waffle house. At least there he wouldn't be expected to talk to people and they have pretty decent benefits. He was a good little cook. Hope he goes far in life! It's hit and miss here. Usually it's good but this last time, it's went downhill. It wasn't even busy that night. The service was slow and it took an hour to finally get a chef at the table to cook and then another hour til he finished. Wasn't very entertaining and he cooked each dish one by one, instead of several at a time like normal hibachi chefs do. Very disappointed in tonight's meal, might be awhile before we go back, it was that bad.

I first tried to order online and no one would accept the order so I’m having to wait on a refund. I had to call 6 times to get an answer. I ordered filet and got regular steak. We ordered extra sauces for two plates and had one sauce period. The food was AWFUL!! Even the salad dressing was bad…. The fried rice was steamed FULL of onions and corn like I’ve never seen. The steak and chicken were dry, not cooked to order, and had no flavor. The shrimp sauce is bitter, not sweet. This is the worst Japanese I have ever had in my life. It was bad a few years ago and we quit going; we thought we would give it another shot. And it’s worse than it was back then. I threw away my entire plate after a few bites. My dog wouldn’t even eat any leftovers. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We wint for a student council Valentine day dinner and it is a good / fun place Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Seaweed Salad
Contrary to other reviews, we had a great experience! Food was great and everyone was nice. The new chef, Preston, made good food and conversation. My family said the sushi was good, too. We will be back!
The rice was outstanding, but the chicken was so over cooked you couldn’t chew it. It was actually hard from what looked like being dropped into a fryer. The rare steak was like jerky. It was just overall barely edible and being a first timer, I will also be a last timer. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Osaka in St Mary's GA may have been nice at one point, but it has become a sad falling apart establishment. The table have a wrap to hide the original, but the wrap is peeling off. The servers are too young to serve alcohol and we never got the Sake my wife asked for five times, until she said she didn't want it- they compd her sake bc it came after the hibachi. Young kids are the chefs, they provide non of the traditional "show" expected at hibachi. They have the oldest and most experienced man bussing tables and the "owner" sushi lady just watched - not offering to help her staff. Food was bland. Even the rice was cheap in taste, how? They provide 1 Styrofoam cup from the start, barely a refill provided. The Sushi Bar, OMG, the fish was not fresh looking, the shrimp was the smallest. And when sushi was ordered at the table, it was the smallest pieces of sushi I've seen. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
By far the worst of the worst. It began with a no soup no salad then the worst so called chef an 18 year old with no personility … he gave us steamed rice because it wasn’t fried then undercooked vegetables oh and then topped it off with unseasoned steak so tuff should have been a linebacker then smelly scollops. Don’t waste your money or time with this place. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. It’s better than 3, but not quite at a 4. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to and I would have given it a 5 back then. However, I haven’t been in probably 2 years of so and a lot has changed. Our cook was great, and the food he prepared was really good. But they seem to have changed their sushi (used to be the best), their ginger salad dressing, and their shrimp sauce (yum yum sauce). Service was decent, but not as quick and attentive as it used to be. I’ll probably go back as I like to support local business (and the main dish was good), but I wish it was the way it used to be.

I’ve had many experiences with Java hi restaurants and this was hands down the WORST! Very unsanitary establishment, bathrooms are disgusting, napkins on “clean” silverware were dirty, had to ask for things that were ordered as well as did not receive food items that were ordered. Extremely overpriced for overcooked, tasteless food. I will share a bowl of food with my dog before returning here!!!
