I ordered from their commercial bakery. The order form was easy to use and gave clear timelines for when things would be ready. I got a variety of items to share with friends and family. The croissants and kouign-Amman were well laminated and had the perfect balance of crunch, flakey, and a bit of "q" (chewyness but not tough). The cookies are very rich and perfect for sharing. Great service at pick up. It's a commercial kitchen, so the storefront has minimal decor, but everything was clean and presentable and the packaging was great for transportation. 10/10 would order again!

UPDATE: 2/24/24
Joey and Karma (the owner) immediately contacted me after my review was posted. They apologized for the cake and asked me what they can offer for this mistake. I wanted to give them a chance as I haven’t tasted the REAL GOOD cake as other customers reviewed. Tonight, we tried it and we LOVED it!!!! Karma did extra flower decorations and the cake is soft and it has 3 layers! Each layer with their homemade strawberry jam and not very sweet! The cream too not too sweet and smooth. My husband and my kids are all satisfied! I can see how both of you cherish and tried very best to satisfy your customers! You both listened to us and willing to improve! I love this attitude!
P.s. I requested to try their crochi and they are delicious! Again, not too sweet and the texture was great with the crunchy croissant and the chewy mochi! Thx and keep up the good work! We will come back~~~~~

It’s my first time to order a birthday cake for my husband (strawberry cream cake) from Origin bakery but it’s totally disappointed. The cake is hard, texture like SaraLee cake that I need to squeeze the candle hard in the cake! The cake has a eggy smell (not baking at right temp or time) and I’m sure they didn’t add any vanilla extract to help it. The cream is too sweet and have the powder textured after taste. I guess they used icing sugar and it’s not melted and mixed well with the cream….the weirdest cream I’ve ever tasted in my life! Also there are maybe total only 1-2 chopped fresh strawberries inside the cake. None on the top. I guess their pasties are good but avoid any cake! $50 for 6 inch……… not worth….

There is no marshmallow to speak of in all three of the mini ube "marshmallow" cookies. What a complete let down.

Origin Bakery is impressive with its natural, ethically sourced treats and monthly treat box. With a commitment to quality, it's a must try for exceptional baked goods made with love.
We were able to try their June Pride Box and were amazed by the flavors and presentation.
(Disclaimer: No, our dog did not eat any of these treats but thought it was a great photo opportunity 🙂).

This place is absolutely amazing. Not only are the pastries unbelievable, Joey and Karma went above and beyond to make sure my order was fresh baked, made to order. I will definitely be coming back. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for amazing Asian influenced pastries and cookies.

I think their milk buns are just fantastic, would definetely recommend trying it at Bobae!
