Great little spot, by the KungligaOpera. Perhaps a little dark, but that compliments the quiet atmosphere. The meatballs were excellent. The seared steak tartar was a poor choice, searing may have added colour but no flavour. It’s a change from the steak tartare in some of the pictures, and unlike that style has no raw onion or other flavourings…try something else.

Best place for a nice lunch, especially if you want to try some authentic Swedish meatballs. We just walked in without reservation and that wasn't an issue at all. I also tried the fried egg starter which was equally delicious. The ambience is great, we sat by the bar. The service was also impeccable.

Highly recommend if you are interested in taking some very delicious and authentic Swedish meatballs! I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go (after going to Ikea hehe) and the location is quite central. I was able to snag a small table off the bar area during a quiet moment in the evening. The staff was very efficient and friendly. I knew what I wanted immediately, but decided to take a peek at the menu anyway. I ordered the Swedish meatballs with lingdon berries and cucumbers served with potatoes and gravy. It was divine!!! I was also brought a plate of bread, which was very delicious! I highly recommend visiting!

A step-back-in-time Swedish bistro, perfectly maintained since its last renovation in 1961 — wood paneled bar, green lamps, white marble countertops, and gold edge china.
The nautically uniformed staff are professional and friendly, taking pride in every detail. Walls adorned with portraits of opera stars from decades past speak to the many layers of history preserved in this intimate place. Check out the back room (and it’s ceiling) for a pausing delight.
Steak tartare — served with egg yolk, capers, chopped onions and beet root — spot on. Perfectly crisp frites accompaniment, a treat. Make sure to ask for the mustard.
Extensive list of akvavit, including the house brand, is worth exploring.
A must-try establishment when in Stockholm.

Visiting from USA. I ordered the obligatory Swedish Meatballs and they were very good. The Lingonberries were a new food for me, but quite good. Like a sweeter cranberry. My wife ordered the cured salmon. The bread that was served before the meal was also very good
