I enjoyed my meal here and appreciate the improvement after the renovation. This, AFAIK is the only tom yam place on raja uda stretch that has air con. The other 7 or so can be a bit hot and humid. Nothing wrong. Just personal dining experience.
I like the cool environment this place now has. Together with new comfortable tables and chairs, it looks clean and inviting. I appreciate that their menu is clear and legible. Their price however isn't.
Through mix and match, they have 17, yes you read that right, 17 possible soup combinations. In addition, another 3 dry combo and 11 porridge combinations. With a base of 9 different types of noodles, to say that you are spoilt for choices will be an understatement.
The taste of their soup is on the lighter side. I find it tasty with good balance of all the requisite spice and salt. The tomyam even though looks scary red, is heavy on the sour side and not very spicy. Basically if you are used to the usual heavy hawker over the top flavouring, you might be disappointed.
With regards to comments on the price, of course it's expected to be a bit more expensive than the others along the raja uda road. This place has air con. With new comfortable seating. This is the premium you are paying. Whether the price premium is worth the comfort, well, only you the dinner can decide. Personally I think it is. But the higher price point also means that you may eat here less. It's a balance of wallet vs comfort.

Mala is surprisingly good.
Wine soup is good as usual, the wine taste is better to be heavier.
Milk soup is good too.
The environment is comfortable.

I liked the way the can mix and match the ingredients you like. However there are no pricing to how they charge (or I am not aware of), so be sure you don't take too much of the ingredients. Taste wise is nothing to shout about.
Two bowl of noodles and two drinks, total RM 34.50.

Unreasonable Price Among Mala Mee Seller In Raja Uda. Normally eat for RM20 - RM25 for 2 pax.. But here nearly RM20 for 1 pax portion. Contains alot of cili in soup, not nice. I give 2 star because maybe their tomyam serve better than mala mee? Just do not go for the mala flavour.
Total rip off. 2 normal tomyam Maggie with just few items + 2 drinks cost RM 40. Plus they do not put pricing on the menu, which they can count however they want. It's a scam.
