Curry mee is an absolute must-try! The delectable curry soup pairs perfectly with iced coffee, and their signature nasi lemak is simply delightful. The sambal flavor strikes just the right balance of spice. I'm thoroughly impressed with both the food quality and service, making it my new favorite hangout spot.

Petai Fried Kuay Teow - Must order, very fragrant and tasty. Prawn are big, noodles are flavourful and filled with "wok hei". One of the top dish here.
Nasi Lemak L Shape Drumstick - Must order. Rice itself is very fragrant and appetising, i think it's not as simple as santan, probably pandan and so on. Chicken is fried upon order so its piping hot and tastes good.
Traditional kopi (hot) - Very strong aroma and strong coffee taste.
Definitely will return here to try their other dish like curry mee series.

Curry Laksa
Stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised, the Cha Kuey Teow was top notch as well as their Curry Mee taste wise. Service was commendable and the boss always had a smile on his face. I'd recommend this place and am sure to return very soon. Overall a good experience

curry here is creamy with lots of coconut milk, but very stingy, only 1 dao bok per bowl??
CKT is decent with adequate wok hey, love that they offer prawns as alternative if you ask for no cockles
fish ball soup with noodles comes with lots of coriander, kinda overpowering but good for coriander lover
kopi beng has great balance of bitterness, milkiness and sweetness
the premise is fairly small, can get crowded and stuffy during weekends

Lost and now found, my favourite CKT. Happy they still maintaining the same standard. Added other dishes, the curry is "ok" but not as good as CKT. Staff is very attentive to details of the order. Their "Malaysia Open" kopi is very nice.

Authentic Chao Kuey Tiao Add on Siham
Could have been a 5 Stars Review But...Read On.
We casually walked into this restaurant after buying cat stuff from a pet shop nearby.
The Old Taiping name caught our attention, and we decided to check it out.
Inside the atmosphere is just nice with the cooler blowing.
Amongst the recommended dishes, we decided to try the giant bowl of curry mee at Rm40. It's recommended for 3 person & above.
The staff was worried we couldn't finish it but we actually assured them..haha!
Our minds drifted a little; how would it taste? would it be really big like those we see on social media?
In good time, out came the bowl!
It was huge, the bowl! But thank goodness the noodles and soup wasn't filled to the brim (see pic).
At a glance we knew 2 person would be able to finish it! 3 if small eaters; Or one really, really hungry person.
Okay straight to the bowl!
On top:
It has very generous serving of roasted meat (siew yoke), fried beancurd skin (fu chuk), 2 huge tiger prawns, a piece of rendang chicken, an egg and loads of cockles. We substituted the cockles for something else, as we don't take them. (We were given another rendang chicken)
Below:
Mixture of kuey teow and mee (noodles), generous portions of long beans, beancurd pouch (taufu pok) and beansprouts (taugeh).
All of these, under a very balance portion of curry broth. Not overly spiced nor lacking in flavor - just our kind of soup! Very satisfying.
Drinks were barley lemon (Rm3.50) and milk coffee (kopi susu - Rm3.50). Both were good (not watered down).
Overall we think it was well done, but if we must nitpick, there are 2 points to improve: 1. The beancurd skin could be crispier, some pieces were as hard as wood. 2. The rendang chicken was half cooked and was still raw inside. By the time we noticed, parts of it was already eaten.
*Owner just noted and no further explanation was given, which dialled down our enthusiasm we had earlier.
Will think of coming back one day.

Curry Laksa
This place has all the local fare and their speciality is the curry laksa. They have more than 6 different curry laksa and one of them is catered for 6 pax - imagine what a big bowl that would require. I was looking around each time I was there to see if any other table have ordered this ha ha. Their duck egg char kuey teow is half bad either (the Prawns are huge). The drinks are well made and the service is quite good (even during the usual weekend lunch hour). Parking can be a challenge so I usually choose to look for spots further away and walk to the restaurant (once I am stuffed with food, I am glad for the walk back to my car! Ha ha. Wondering if I can convince my friends to pop by to this area so I can try our their huge 6pax curry noodles! 🤪

Authentic Chao Kuey Tiao Add on Siham
Good signature coffee with rich and strong aroma. Came for their petai char keow tuey, love it very much as enough wok hei yet not over fried till have burnt smell. Curry noodles not bad too. Like their cockles(Siham) in both food ordered,is fresh and served in generous portion.
I'm gonna keep this review simple. Must try:
1. Very good Curry Noodle (best ever I have had)
2. Char Kuey Teow (esp. with Petai and eat with the provided chilli paste)
