I went there yesterday and this girl working there was giving me an attitude.i never had a problem like this with anyone else anywhere else and it wasn't that big of a deal either.she gave me the check and said have a nice day before I paid her and I laughed while saying" hold on I still have to pay you " she immediately started giving me dirty looks while condescendingly looking at me like what are you talking about? I tell her I have a $50 bill I need change back so I can tip you gives me an even dirtier look and sayd ooookaaay So I explain to her it's not that big of a deal I'm sorry if I came off like I was insulting you but you don't have to talk to me like that and give me an attitude Then she tells me I'm not allowed there anymore.i had 2 beers ,a sandwich ,was there for no more than 20 minutes and a nice conversation with three other patrons. In no way do I deserve that kind of treatment and and after she told me that I let her know that she's making this place lose business . Unless she owns the place she needs to realize why she's there and what her job is and that's to make people feel welcome and to help this place make money not drive people away Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The food and service were "on-point" this day. Our waitress served us quickly, and she was very pleasant. The most often downside to this bar/restaurant is "the parking." Because of the local of this place, there aren't many parking places at all,and to add to its Springfield twp. which is a haven for "no parking zones" everywhere surrounding this place. My wife has MS and can't walk far, so I always have to drop her off out front and then drive around the plethora of "one way" streets and walk back to the bar. Meh... Nick's roast beef is noted for their hot sandwiches. roast pork, ham, turkey. Our party of four ordered the roast pork and turkey along with the gravy fries. The food was excellent. Our waitress had difficulty delivering the correct sandwiches. I ordered turkey and got roast pork. The same happened when reordering drinks. I received the incorrect beer twice. Comfy little bar, servers very nice. Foods ok, not the legendary experience I was expecting from the reputation. Eleven bucks is a lot for a sandwich on a kaiser roll - I thought it would be hoagie sized. Fries were good. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nick's is small, loud, with it's regulars seated around the center bar, sports on every television but they serve the best roast beef sandwich you can get outside of Philly. Consistently delicious. Excellent customer service. A local favorite. Parking can be tricky but it is worth it. 28 years in Delco, and today was the first time eating at Old Original Nick's Roast Beef - Springfield, PA. My wife and I took the R101 Trolley from Media to the Woodland Ave, station for lunch today. I had a Roast Beef Combo (wet) and a side of gravy fries. My wife had a Roast Pork (wet). The food was excellent. Our waitress was phenomenal and the resaturant was exceptionally clean, bright and nicely decorated. I really enjoyed my meal and my wife said she did also. My only gripe was that there was not nearly as much roast beef as is shown in most of the photos I've seen on here or on Facebook. I was expecting a pile of R.B. We will definitely go back. Dive bar in Springfield serving up good roast beef sandwiches. It's a small bar but it got busy in there. The bartender was busy so service lacked a bit. All in all pretty good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I was out in the area late and looking to see where I could grab some quick food befor going home at night. It was around midnight and I happened to see Nick's was open until 1:15am and it was a 5 minute drive from where I was. Popped in and it was fairly empty with probably some locals around the bar and music playing. I thought I was relatively hungry and ordered two roast beef sandwiches and an order of gravy fries to go. Guy at the bar was friendly and the guy working the kitchen was fast. Fresh basket of fries dropped and I was watching how the sandwich was made. A large hunk of beef that looked to be a cross of a roast beef and a pot roast. It was all handsliced, he was so fast and he was slicing amazingly thin. And he just kept stacking! A quick splash of gravy over the meat and on the inside of the top part of the roll, then wrapped in foil. Fries were put in a little paper tray, then got a huge scoop of shredded/chopped beef and the gravy. My ride home was about 35 mins (food smelled amazing in the car) and the food was still relatively warm when I ate. While the beef was more well done, the way it was sliced made for an incredibly tender sandwich and the juice/gravy was just the right bit if beef/onion/garlic. Fries had soaked up a lot but there was so much meat with them as well. Eyes were probably bigger than my stomach at that hour and I saved the second sandwich for the next day. Ate it cold out of the fridge and it was fine like that. Definitely going to pop in when I'm in the area.
