We travel the country, are Mexican, and have eaten at a lot of Mexican Restaurants. This is one of, if not THE best, Mexican Restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. A gem for sure!!! Prices are so reasonable, good portions, and so very tasty! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Our first time here and we’re definitely going to make it our regular stop! The food is amazing and the staff are super nice and accommodating! I got a plate with an enchilada, taco, and a tamale! Amazing! The enchilada sauce that the cook makes is DELICIOUS! My husband and I were saying that next time we’ll get some for our chips! 10/10 stars! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Enchiladas

Went in for the 1st time for dinner, the waitress was very nice and said to just pick a seat. She took my drink order, asked for sweet tea they only have unsweetened it was fine added Sweetener to my liking . She told of the items not on the menu,I picked beef fajitas. I made the right choice, I have tried the fajitas at 3 other places in town not impressed, but here the fajitas are good, not to thinly sliced not over covered in veggies, just the right amount, the rice and beans are also good. I look fwd to going back to try other items. Went in for breakfast it was really good Eggs bacon beans and potatoes Service was great Look fwd to going back Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I was just traveling through town and looking for some good Mexican food. Old Mexico did not disappoint! It was classic Tex Mex at a reasonable price. The salsa was excellent, and the staff were attentive. I'd go back if I were ever in town!
Great food when I thought there was not a good Mexican restaurant in plainview this one is the bomb the food is delicious enchiladas, carne guisada, tamales, tacos everything is delicious I recommend this restaurant you won’t be disappointed and the staff are so nice and friendly it’s a 5+ and more Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30
Limited menu options. Beans burnt. Enchilada sauce seemed spoiled along with the cheese. Rice was undercooked. Only thing edible was the $2.75 soft drink. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

If you're looking for a no-frills place for a quick, scalding-hot plate of tasty, classic Mexican-American food from a bygone era of value-priced family eateries...this is the place for you. Fill your belly with old favorites like cheese enchiladas, beef tacos, excellent rice, and refried beans. Just a warning: If you're the kind who scoffs at lard in your refried beans, then turn around and go back to Chipotle, hipster! For me, it's good to know there are still places like this one where you can get a good, unpretentious meal at a ridiculously cheap price. You can easily leave here without even breaking $10. I mean, it's so cheap I wonder how these people stay in business, then I remember...it's Plainview. 😁
