Good small dishes with a rowdy and crowded atmosphere. Not too many pictures included as we were super hungry. They had a cool deal for the posted beer. Buy one get one free. Service was quick and the food was delicious! Check it out and have a bite of authentic Taiwanese food.

I don’t feel i can fairly rate the food. It was tasty, but much if it was not for me, I am not from Taiwan. But my friends loved it. I went there mostly for the atmosphere, partly for the turtles! It was a great experience overall!

Awesome environment and good food!! Just avoid those recommended dishes on the wall! Fried rice is good, mapo tofu excellent and fried intestine is divine!! Roast chicken and grill beef, you should give it a pass
Delicious 熱炒 place. They serve authentic Taiwanese food here and the whole ambience is awesome. It’s packed on the weeknight that we went. My favorites were the three cup dishes - they were super flavorful. The taro duck was also quite special in my opinion. We had a bottle of sake, a beer, and roughly 12 dishes between the 6 of us and it came to about 600 per person.
If you're looking for quick yet flavor-packed Taiwanese fare in Taipei, head straight to this place for a great Taiwanese 熱炒experience in town. This humble little joint may not look like much from the outside, but it's a favorite neighborhood spot for locals craving the sizzling wok flavors of classic Taiwanese stir-fry dishes.
The flavors and textures are simply sublime - succulent meats, lightly charred veggies, perfectly scrambled eggs all enrobed in the addictive sauce coating each dish. A meal at this place is Taiwanese street food and comfort food at its finest. From the friendly staff to the buzzing local ambience, this is THE spot to experience stellar re-chao worth lining up for. (Beyond the incredible food, part of the charm is their two large live turtles mascots roaming the restaurant!)

Small quick fry restaurant, not many seats inside.
Nice selection from the menu and taste is pretty good.
Portion size is slightly on the small side, and drinks price is quite high like most quick fry places.
Enjoyable!
I rated the atmosphere as 4 stars because this very traditional Taiwanese resto is not for everyone, especially foreigners. This restaurant is intended to be noisy with people drinking alcohol while playing rock-paper-scissors with the loser bottoming up a small glass of liquor. Loud, rowdy, and a lot of fun, this type of activity can be loosely translated as "happy noisy". Ordered food is served quickly and comes in small plates. In the course of a night, there would probably be 15-20 different types of food coming in one after the other. Table sizes are mostly larger round tables good for 8-12 people.
Food tastes great but of course, we're not talking about gourmet stuff.
Overall, if you want to feel what it's like to be with colleagues on a traditional or very local night out of food and drinks, bring some Taiwanese friends with you and watch & learn from the locals.

Came here with friends on a Sunday night. It was busy and the atmosphere was great. We had a few beers and the owner came by a couple times to cheers us. The food was really good. The fried tofu was REALLY nice. 💪🏼
Food is pretty good! The ghost pepper isn’t as spicy as we thought but it was still nice. I’m giving 5 stars because of the buy one get one free beer promotion, but it’s still a nice place to have 熱潮 food.
