My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time back in December. We were unaware that there were two entrance doors- one on the side with the buffet bar and one in front of the hostess stand. We entered on the side with the buffet. As I was walking by a waitress, I asked if we just seat ourselves or if we wait to be seated. She pointed in the direction of the restaurant with the seating area and said, "Yes, you can go sit." So we walked toward the tables and unknowingly passed the hostess stand. When I was looking around to find a table, I turned around and noticed the hostess glaring me up and down (not in a friendly "can I help you?" manner). It was more like she was checking out my body or outfit. Us women can tell these things. She didn't say anything. I said, "Do we just sit?" She said, "No, you have to be seated." I explained that we didn't know and that the other lady told us we could sit. It was just very awkward and unfriendly. We sat a while before a waitress came over. I told my husband, "Let's just go somewhere else", but we decided to wait a couple more minutes. The waitress eventually came. Her personality wasn't much better. Definitely didn't make us feel welcome. She took our order, brought it out, and that was about it- No refills.... No "How is everything?"... No "Do you need anything?" I went without my condiments, paid the bill, and left. The food was subpar. Nothing to write home about. I come from a Cuban heritage and grew up in south Florida with the best Cuban food. This ain't it. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Old Cuban Cafe in Orlando is a hidden gem for Cuban food enthusiasts. Their pan con bistec is a standout, with tender steak and flavorful toppings. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, adding to the overall experience. However, it can be disappointing that rice and beans are sold as separate sides, as they are traditionally served together. It would be more convenient and cost-effective if they were offered as a combined side (this seems to be an Orlando thing). Nonetheless, the delicious food and friendly service make this cafe worth a visit! Absolutely INCREDIBLE food and service. Stephanie was our server and she was on point. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and the chimichurri on top is to die for! We got an extra cup it was that good! And that coconut flan! Wow! That was by far the BEST flan I have ever had. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! The food here is usually good, but today the meat was very dry and not edible. We do not complain while in the restaurants because people do yucky stuff when you do. After our meal, we went to the bakery, where the staff was extremely rude, and failed to even recognize. We were there for several minutes, even though we were the only ones there. We purchased pastries to go, and when I got to where I could eat, mine does raw as you can see in the pictures. Which we all know it’s not only a health hazard but completely disgusting. Our server for the regular food was fantastic. She was very helpful and kind. But the ladies over at the pastry counter were terribly rude. Never acknowledged us while serving us, and never said goodbye thank you or anything, which totally kept me from leaving a tip for them. I left a nice tip for my regular waitress and we spent about $65 total for three people. I truly hope in the future they do better. It’s very upsetting to spend a lot of money in a restaurant and get treated the way we did at the end of the meal. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Was very disappointing i am a strong believer that a cuban restaurant a(REAL CUBAN RESTAURANT ) should at the very least make the cuban sandwiches with real pork not deli style the pork should be pernil style not something i can get at a 7-eleven As for the food, from what i eat, the food is dry. The salad was fresh, and the tamale was delicious. Coffee was perfect. The flan was delicious the pastries looked good Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
