The food is very good and the prices are great! Yes, the prices have crept up, but the Old Canal still offers one of the best deals in town during these awful " Build Back Better " times.. The drinks are priced very fair, and the wings are offered in a 10 wing special, keeping them under $10 and still delicious. My wife had the Liver and Onions and commented on both the quality and the large portion. We will be back ! We visit the area frequently and had high hopes for this place as our go-to breakfast spot. Our 1st time there, 2 yrs ago, it was spot on. We've been there 3 times since and it just got worse. I am not picky but, wow! I owned a restaurant for 11 yrs and if my server would have ever taken a plate of food to a table like we got...well, it just wouldn't have happened. My veggie "omelet" was a plate of grease. Poured it onto another plate & used napkins to soak up what I could. Total mush, unedible. Way to high priced for portion sizes. The server paid no attention. I wouldn't say bad service but definitely not great and not friendly. Not the place to go for a good breakfast.
