Used to frequent Casa de Mello and am glad to know that they are now here! Food quality and taste are still consistent. We had the pork tomahawk chop, mushroom soup and caesar salad. On another positive note, this establishment is more spacious compared to their previous venue. Keep up the awesome work and see you in the near future ☺️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A new restaurant that opened just before the MCO era. Located in the historic Portuguese Square, this boutique restaurant is worth a visit The owner Hari seemed friendly and is eager to maintain it as a homely, reasonably priced restaurant. Nice and quiet and spacious too. They have a decent menu of food offerings. I have attached pictures of menu for reference. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 80–100

Oblong kitchen is located in Portuguese settlement area, Melaka,Malaysia.A Busy tourist attraction & right place to spend your free day. They serve the best of Portuguese food name Otak otak : fish cooked with coated spices wrapped in banana leaf - the dish is topped with lemon & onions. The aroma of dish hits you, when you unwrap the fish otak otak. This is a must try Portuguese dish in this restaurant. You can also try their butter prawns cooked in coconut milk- which gives you buttery smooth & sweet taste to tongue 👅 Recommended to all food lovers.

This place was one of our night time highlights in Melaka. It was our first time in Melaka and we wanted to go to the Portuguese Settlement. We’d eaten dinner nearby and popped in to Oblong for a drink before getting a taxi home. It was a Wednesday night so it was fairly quiet but this played to our advantage and we got chatting to Raj behind the bar and ordered another drink. We were later joined by Hari, the owner, and ended up staying a couple of hours as we enjoyed chatting to him and Raj and finding out about the local area. The menu options here are plentiful, prices are reasonable and - from what we tried of a couple of snacks on the menu - the food was delicious too (the Indian style mutton was incredible). We returned again before leaving Melaka due to the warm welcome we received and also really enjoyed meeting some other friendly locals in the bar that night. Thanks Oblong for a really special time. We promise we’ll be back soon. Meal type Other

The food was awesome! We ordered otak otak, steamed fish, sardin fried rice, chicken wings and fried mushroom. The otak otak is amazing, and all loved it. The wings were well marinated and served with home made type Cili sauce. Generous portions and we couldn't finish all😀
