Lots of hair in the sandwich, gave this place a break for a year to see if it improved. It did not. The brio bread's flavor was off as well, I get it fresh all the time from Brio and it has never tasted like that weird stale perfumey taste, must be the way they store it here. Would've thrown the sandwich out because it was so bland but didn't wanna waste the $ i spent so i picked the hairs out from the inside and on the outside of the bread.
Honestly just bummed out about this place.. I love the location and the concept, but the service is just bad. Usually its one cook and one dishwasher and their doing what they can, so I don't mind a long wait. This time it was very obviously that the owner was working, so 2 cooks. My partner and I wanted to stop for a quick 2 pretzels and beer cheese. After waiting 15mins they brought out sandwiches and two pretzels for the people that ordered after us, we mentioned then that we had ordered two pretzels as well and the owner was dismissive. We continued to wait another extended period of time til they finally brought out less than we ordered with out apologizing and were dismissive again. It would have gone a long way for the owner to just apologize for the wait or anything at all. They clearly messed up our order, not that big of a deal but the way they handled it and the fact that it always takes way too long to get your order there makes for a very poor experience.

It's a cute little spot with outdoor and indoor seating. Employees were nice. They had a busy day so there was no bread and we got the last gluten free wrap. Ordered the cowboy and it was pretty small compared to other photos that I'd seen that were loaded with meat. The BBQ sauce was overpowering with some saltiness from the pastrami. The beef and barley soup had a good savory flavor but lacked the beef. Pretzel was nice and soft with a golden outside. The Vienna artisan beer was enjoyable. The sun shines in on their refrigerated glass food and beverage display, I understand Arcata is not a sunny place all the time but I personally wouldn't want to purchase items being in direct sunlight for periods of time.
While visiting our daughter at Cal Poly Humboldt, we decided to stop by Oak Deli and Brewery for an early lunch before we headed back home. One word to describe this place: AMAZING! All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our incredibly delicious food and the two gentlemen who were working that day were so friendly and helpful. We plan to make this place a regular stop each and every single time we are back in the area. Incredibly happy that we found this hidden gem!!!
