I'm pleased to report that this little coffee slash bake shop makes amazing baked goods. I bought some muffins and cookies for my coworkers this morning and they were the rage! They are baked fresh by Liz, the business owner, and you can tell. In my experience, these are probably the BEST baked goods available in Gonzales right now. The only other contender would be Come & Crepe It's donut (the cashier might call it a kolache but it's 100% a donut, you can't fool me) which is only offered on Saturdays. O Taste & See Bakery is open every morning of the week so if you want your fix of baked goods before plunging into hard work, this is the place to be.
Their coffee is also good. I found that the coffee was a little bland, but it wasn't bad. I'm just passionate about coffee so I like when there's something adventurous about the beans. This is a safe choice and Liz prepared her coffee well. No hiccups to report.
This is a new business and they need our help to thrive. So if you're driving by, make sure to stop and come try their baked goods and coffee! Their selection is still small but considering everything is extremely fresh and delicious, I think they deserve praise and a chance to grow. Welcome to Gonzales O Taste & See!
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I tried to visit this bakery but couldn't since there was a closed sign on the door on a Friday at 8AM. Opening hours online claim it should be open. I made a detour on my way to work to try them because I had heard good things about their baked goods. I'm very perplexed by their business practices. If in the future I swing by and they are actually open, in accordance with what they advertise, I will change my review accordingly. Right now, it seems like they may or may not be open depending on their feelings, and that is not a way to run a business. EDIT: Saw the owner reply. Don't forget to flip your sign, otherwise you're turning away business, people like me ready to buy for the office! Will try again next week and update my review.

Love this place! She made us the best cupcakes for our sons birthday. I plan to use for all my future events. Plus the Latte’s are great too!
