Nice staff, clean premises, fresh food but not very flavorful or warm. I would have liked more spice. I felt the middle eastern but I didn’t get the Caribbean vibe. Order at register, collect food, seat self, and clean up after self. Would have liked more customer service. I liked the fact the writings on wall shared health benefits of different herbs and spices. We couldn’t decide on what to eat so we ordered different sides to try different things. Nzuko doesn’t disappoint! The food is delicious, fresh and flavorful. Never been sorry about anything I’ve ordered here and they have a pretty extensive vegetarian/vegan menu. They have multiple options for gluten free, too. I love that they have so many tofu options along with the meat! I really like what this place is *trying* to do... healthy food, lots of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Unfortunately, none of the things we tried had any flavor. The salads were plain and dull, and the lamb was tough to chew. The dressings were also flavorless and everything was just kind of cold. So although we were happy to find a restaurant that offered various options, we were disappointed at the taste and flavor, especially for the price. I drove 1hr to get to this place and it was well worth it. The lady that took my order was beautiful and kind. I ordered the mushroom rice with chicken it came with plantains. My wife ordered the vegan option a “falafel pocket”. The homemade lemonade and watermelon juice were delicious and refreshing. I’m from the Dominican Republic where my taste pallet is savory types of food I can handle spicy food but I’m not a big fad fan of it. I like saltier foods and the food we got here was delicious. My wife is central American her pallet is savory and slightly spicy she loves vegetables and she found the food good as well. So definitely come and try this food it’s worth it. Cornbread was great too. 😋 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50

Got the curry chicken wrap. I'll be back for more because I liked it so much. Quick service too. Maybe I'll become a regular. Really nice spot too. I haven't left the store in 67 hours. Oh god what's happening to me. I'm now apart of the floor. I am home. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I ordered the jerk chicken with black rice with mushroom in it and I got Black rice with green peas which was tasty but the order was wrong(idk if it was a language barrier) they also forgot my salad that came with it, I did ask for it and they they gave me to me. Don’t get me wrong the food was very flavorful but to much sauce not enough rice and WAYYY to expensive for the portion. I would give the overall experience 3 1/2 starts. Service Take out Price per person $10–20

It is not a natural all gluten free vegan restaurant. The black-bean rice had buttery flavor which was not good. A person got the shrimp kabob and thought it was ok. The lamb kabob tasted ok but was chewy according to the people who got that. I think the chicken kabob was decent. The plantains were bland and dry. And the person just sits at the Register taking orders with no advice or personality. Like he was annoyed that we were even there ordering. There is only one table large enough for more than a party of 2 which is a picnic table but one side you have to squeeze by with minimal room whether someone is sitting on the end or not bc the end chair doesn't move. We decided to try some lunch at this gem after a walk at Garden in The Woods (which is lovely by the way). My kids loved the grilled cheese and fruit bowl. I tried the Nzuko chicken with mushroom rice- yum! It was delicious! The staff was really nice and the decor is fun and different! The smoothies, soups, cornbread and wraps all sound amazing and I look forward to having the opportunity to eat there again.
100 % would recommend and will come again. I'm so glad I found this place. Many vegan and meat options and the food is amazing! So much flavor and also so much food! The prices are fair for the value you get and the staff was very nice to us. Will also visit the Watertown location and I am already super excited about that!
