I definitely recommend having a reservation. We visited during the restaurant week where they had a 6 course prefix menu. The food was awesome, service was fast, staff were very welcoming and friendly. The dishes are shareable, basically its a shareable menu concept. Love the vibe of the place. Young crowd. Definitely recommend this place if you are celebrating something or want to impress your date. A one of a kind experience in Chicago. Unique flavors flanked with a unique wine list. How often do you find a cab Franc by the glass? Now tell me how often you find a cab franc by the glass from…. URUGUAY??? Ya, you saw that right. Absolutely nuts. The food here is worth the trip and the price. Tapas-style meal. I’d suggest 3 smaller plates and then two main courses. Watch out- the green beans are A LARGE portion. The service will be exactly what you’d hope for and the overall experience here is absolutely incredible. I WILL say it’s a bit loud. A busy restaurant can’t help this, but if you’re planning a first date, maybe wait for the 6th or 7th. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Thank you Alice for your kind & amazing hospitality, you made our experience here worth the visit, you know how to take care of your customers from the minute we walked in till the end. Food was incredible, each plate had a story. Our waitress Daydre was maybe a little overwhelmed with her section, forging about 2 of our orders, but Alice again was there to fix it all. We will come back next time we are in town! Keep up the hard work 🤗 Must try: goat empanadas Steak Shrimp salad Green beans Pumpkin & coconut for desserts Things to skip : Broccoli w labneh Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Goat Empanadas
We were there for dinner last Friday for dinner, the staff was very friendly and made everything special for us to celebrate our honeymoon. The cocktails are delicious, I explained my preferences for drinks and the waitress just got right on it and served me the best cocktail ever. We had a very unique experience, with a very unique menu. I highly recommend this place. I’d definitely go back there. This place is awesome!! The food is so well made and the flavors are complex and delicious. The poke is one of my absolute favorites! The vibe is cozy too and they have good cocktails and non alcoholic options too. I can't wait to go back again and try more items! Had a fantastic experience at Girl and the Goat last night! The food was absolutely incredible – every dish was a burst of flavor and creativity. Our waiter was fantastic too – super knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about the food, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. And let's not forget the drinks – they were the perfect complement to the meal. LOVED IT!!! Girl and the Goat absolutely deserves its Michelin Bib Gourmand award. It's the perfect spot for a girls' night out or a special date night – the atmosphere is lively and fun, the food is top-notch, and the service is impeccable. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, look no further! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Goat Empanadas
I’ve heard about Girl & the Goat for a long time and I am so mad at myself for not eating here sooner! The food? AMAZING. The service? Impeccable, we had to wait for one dish (we didn’t even realize how much time passed because it was just a great experience and they brought us free dessert!). The drinks? Let’s just say we had every drink and second rounds of course. The only drink we weren’t a big fan of was “kind of a big dill” and the one that surprised us the most was how good the “bring the beet back” was! If you’re looking for one thing to try it has to be the green beans! Strange thing to recommend, they’re just green beans right? WRONG, they’re the best thing I’ve ever had. I came here awhile back when they used to have the goat leg that would feed a group of people. I don’t think they have that anymore since I haven’t seen it in any recent pictures or on the menu. So, aside from that goat leg, many of the other dishes were tiny portions. If you’re sharing with a group of 4, it’s almost like one bite each. We tried roasted pig face and confit goat belly. Overpriced for sure even though the dishes we had were scrumptious. The restaurant itself is dark and they had a good amount of seating. Service was great. I would recommend coming here if you’re in a group of 4 or more, that way you can try different dishes and split the expensive bill. I’ll include a picture of the goat leg which is now ancient.
