The food was good! Our server Seth was attentive & very courteous. The issue we encountered was when we arrived your restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were a party of 5! It took at least 8 minutes for us to be seated and there was no one waiting to be seated. When we finally got seated we saw a relatively empty restaurant with 2 round tables that could accommodate us. Could not understand why it took so long for us to be seated, when there was no one waiting ahead of us! There was a short wait, but we had excellent service and great food. The pie and coffee was suburb. It was highly recommended by my son that lives in town and valued by those living in town. The restaurant was roomy and had great relaxing decor Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very good breakfast, I had the corned beef hash. Took some slices of pie home. Delicious! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Cherry Pie
Truly disappointing. Hashbrowns were underdone, potato pancakes, a "specialty" were doughy and raw in the middle. Toast completely drowning in butter. Veggies in the omelet were scant, frankly pathetic and entirely bland. No side items like fresh fruit, no egg white substitute. Really failing breakfast 101 here. Best thing I can say is the norwegian pancakes were not great but just okay. Kitchen is really slow, wait time about 1/2 hour to be seated in place with half empty tables. Overall, the whole experience seems more in line with a retirement facility dining room than a brunch restaurant. I thought I would give this place a try again after not having been there in years due to a similar experience. I was hoping for better, but disappointed to find things worse. I think a place with a little more culinary competence would do well here, hopefully someday. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Great place for pies/baked items. We had breakfast with friends and it wasn't a great experience with service or food. I’d give 4/5 stars for the baked items-just wish their menu items were similar in quality. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Wonderful pies with so many choices made from scratch. Roast beef and gravy tasted like comfort food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Disappointed …..We did enjoy our server but nothing else would make us want to go back. Two of us ate lunch and it was $50! We eat out every day of the week as we travel for work. This was one of the most expensive and disappointing we’ve ever had. Two pieces of pie waters to drink and two entrees for $50? Worse yet the portions were mediocre at best. The clientele seemly was older so I think the foods blandness might be because of that but man oh man we wasted our money…. If it was a cheap ole dinner maybe it would’ve been better but if you wanna spend money like your eating prime rib at a supper club and only get the portions and flavor you’d expect from the deli counter at piggly wiggly then it’s perfect for you… Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Pie by the Slice
We both ordered the more traditional Norwegian dishes. He had potato pancakes. I had the Smelt wrap. All the wraps come in lefske. We had a slice of apple lingonberry pie for dessert. I really appreciated the sign on the door that they were short handed and there’d be a wait. Plus they had a bunch of tables marked off so the staff wasn’t overwhelmed. Made so much sense!
The food was ok. I had the hot meatloaf. The potatoes, gravy & sourdough bread were good. I'm iffy on the meatloaf. It was definitely not what I was expecting. The pie though? Excellent!! I'd go back just for the pie. The waitress was great & it did have a nice atmosphere.
