Thrilled that we can now enjoy authentic soup dumplings and food without having to drive far. Noodle Works is hidden right next to Sprouts by Davis and S. Southlake. Generous portions and fast service. The broth for the beef noodle soup is done perfectly; not greasy at all. I would say it's similar to Dragon House's. The food is pricier than at other places, but it's somewhat expected since it's in Southlake.

Second visit couple weeks later:
Went in when it was not busy. Only one server and I was the only customer. I ordered the Sichuan Boiled Beef. It was pretty good, not as good as the northern dallas places. When they serve it, the top should be sizzling so you get to first enjoy the aroma of the sizzling sichuan peppers, garlic and cilantro. This one was dropped in front of me unceremoniously without even a word. The beef portions were generous and nice and tender. It was a little over-velveted, hiding some of the true beef flavor but it was still good. I would order again. I would get it to go though since they charge for rice as some reviewers have observed. I had most of it to go since its hard to enjoy without rice but i also had it with fresh noodles the next day. It just felt wrong not getting a single bowl of rice given the price of the dish. I could not get myself to cough up a buck for the rice. Anyways the noodles turned out to be better. Yay
First visit:
Must have been opening jitters. The noodles that was served was inedible. Way too undercooked. I like firm springy noodles but this batch could have benefited from another 45secs in the bath. I told them it was undercooked but was ignored. I had to get the whole thing to go so I can recook it at home. The soup itself was savory but the sliced beef was too thin making it tasteless and textureless. I really wanted to like the lanzhou noodles but was sorely disappointed. The rolled beef was tasty although the wrapping was a tad too chewy for me. Too thick of a wrapper. However the fillings with cuke, cilantro, sauce and sliced beef was very pleasant and tasty. I had the pad thai to go since my wife was craving it even though I questioned the wisdom of getting padthai at a chinese place and as expected, she did not enjoy it. This time the rice noodles were overcooked and a 16$ mess of congealed starch with not much flavor. I will give them another try since I really want them to be good. I dont relish driving 50 minutes to get a decent meal. There's a decent place further up the road and its still my goto place if I feel a craving for xlb and nurou mein but this place is closer and hopefully it will get better. please let it get better

On the first day of the trial opening of this restaurant, my colleague and I came to visit. We ordered walnut shrimp and sliced fish in spicy oil.Amazing,!The owner was very enthusiastic and sent us desserts. I highly recommend walnut shrimp and taro pastry! The desserts are handmade. I think this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Southlake! My colleague said that she would come back every month to try different dishes!👍👍👍

Fast service, great location at Soutlake and Davis. The food was mostly Americanized, but they also offer some authentic Chinese dishes. Everything was hot and tasty. Nice, comfortable seating design. Fair (Southlake) prices.
The atmosphere was the strangest ever! They have intentionally chosen remakes of easy listening music that was popular and reviled in the US 50 years ago and popular in China 40 years ago. It would only appeal to some senior citizens and the tone deaf.

10/10. Wow. This is insanely fresh, FANTASTIC Chinese food. Everything. If you’ve ever had Chinese food in San Francisco this competes with Chinatown. You have to try this out!!!
Ask for Shirley! She was such a fantastic waitress. We had our 1 year old with us and she brought him toys and even walked him over to see their pumpkins. We will be back!

I'm a big fan of anything noodles! I've been looking forward to try this place since I found out about it. I ordered the Youpo noodle and szechaun beef/tendon in chili sauce! Both have great flavor and good portion size. It was a good spice for me! I will definitely come back and try dining in next time to try other dishes!

This is my first visit with several of my friends, 7 adults total, to celebrate the Moon Festival. We pre-ordered the whole Peking Duck couple days ahead of time for the dinner. To my very surprise, when we saw the dish and the duck was like a left over from a week old. It was horrible and disgusting. It looked like a burned charcoal, not to mention that it was not a whole duck from the meat that they cut out. How could a restaurant serve a $59 whole duck, but just like trash. Words cannot describe how bad that was, please see the photo yourself. I will NOT ever go back to this place again or at least suggest you NEVER order this Peking Duck yourself. In my experience it was a total disappointment and I should give it a zero star if I could.

Don’t know what’s with these reviews. I’ve gotten take out at least 5x and each time is a hit. One could argue the prices are $1-3 above the “norm” but they’re free to price however and the portion size is huge. Excelllent service, quality, and flavor each time. Pictured: pad Thai & Thai tea to go.
