5 stars all the way! I went in with my family one afternoon for lunch and a showing of “Shrek” and had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, we got pizza, meatballs and spaghetti as well as some of their Italian sodas. All were delicious. The view from the table was great and our service was also wonderful! We will absolutely we going back.

I had heard good things, so I was really ready to love this place. If I was only rating the meatballs my daughter ordered, (because no pasta available before 4), I would give it 5 stars - they were amazing. The sauce with them was delicious. My husband and I ordered salads and shared the burrata appetizer - portions were generous, but flavors were just okay. We were pinning our redemption hopes on the Nutella pizza...which, sadly, was a fail. The pizza crust is chewy, not crispy, which with Nutella became difficult to eat and was a texture fail. Additionally, the menu said it was topped with fruit, which in reality was 2 slices of bananas per piece. The biggest disappointment was the service, which was okay until the end of the meal. While waiting for dessert, I asked for a refill of the water carafe, which had never been offered - and never came. After waiting and waiting for the bill, my daughter and I left my husband at the table and went to get the car. More waiting...he finally had to ask someone for the bill. Apparently, the server had ended their shift, and no one seemed to notice us just sitting there even though we were one of just a few tables.
I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism, because I really think they have a good foundation of great location and really tasty sauce and meatballs, so I imagine the pasta and pizza are delicious. The service was just so bad it was hard to not leave without feeling negative about the whole experience. Hopefully, this review will just inspire improvement and attention!

We went there today for the first time. My son and I have been searching for the best meatballs in maine. We have been to soooo many places. And this one ranks tied for number 1 in his book. And in mine. He loved the marina sauce so much he said he would drink it and even asked if they bottle it and sold it. He is a beyond picky eater. And has rates this place a 9.8 out of ten! The restaurant was beautiful. The service was above and beyond. And the food was absolutely amazing. Given that I am a huge foodie that says alot! We will definitely be returning here. If you haven't tried this place you don't know what you're missing out on. We were super impressed. And the kitchen staff sure knows their stuff. Thanks for an amazing meal!

Nomad is a worthy successor to the Frontier Cafe that closed during the pandemic. It is a scenic venue with great food.
