Ordered a few items for dinner. Place is considered clean. Food is not bad and service is good. Chicken porridge is warm and kind of like home cooked style. Comes with some peanuts, preserved radish, half a salted duck egg and some green chill. Cheese nan is fluffy and soft when still warm. Freshly made from the oven. Satay is good, ordered the chicken one. Not too dry or salty. Got to pay for the satay first as it's sold by a different operator.

Spacious and clean eatery.
The highlight of this place is the Taiwanese porridge, mee goreng mamak and the tandoori chicken.
For an Indian restaurant, the porridge is soooo gooood!!! 😋
The mee goreng is those type with wok hey - charred taste, I'm sure you get what I mean. 😍

This is where my parents brought us for porridge and naan when we were young. I came back last week with my son and boy! it didn’t disappoint. The fluffy naan, crisps on the outside, soft and goey on the inside is a perfect pair with dhal. It brings me back to the small alley they used to do business decades ago. Eat with their tandoori and boom! yummmy!!!
And chicken porridge. It’s hard to beat. When u come here it will be hard to choose either to order naan or chicken porridge. Lemme save your time—-just order both.
Our first time eating their new on menu nasi ayam. Hella good. Portion is generous and rice is soft.

The best and most pleasant surprise for us who visited for the first time. We already shared a bowl of (very yummy) noodles prior to arriving at Nikmat, but still had gastronomic room to try some of its raved foods. And boy, it didn’t disappoint! Our garlic naan was aromatic and fluffy, with right amount of crisp on the outside. After a bit of a wait, the star of the table arrived: the chicken tandoori. It was well marinated a-la northern Indian/Pakistan, one could taste the well mixed spices and natural yogurt. And the chicken meat was so tender it almost fell off the bone. An unassuming restaurant along Jalan Sultanah, but these two meals that we have tried would take us back here again for not too long.
My first n maybe boleh repeat lagi. Worthy wey.

Overall Experience - standard mamak food
1. Cheese naan with tandoori chicken - pretty standard, curry is a bit diluted, tandoori chicken is dry but flavourful
2. Service - normal
3. Serving time - 15 mins
4. Affordability - affordable
5. Atmosphere - clean

Nice food. I enjoyed the nan cheese with ayam tandoori 👍
Just a bit of improvement they should do is hire more workers. The service is somehow slow especially peak time. Have to wait long for the waiter to take orders and sometimes you get your food faster than your drinks.

The best north indian restaurant in batu pahat, the food is very good specially the naans and tandoori chicken. They have wide variety of naans to choose from and all taste good. The tandoori chicken is really tender and spicy along with the mint chutney, we had special naan that was made with a filling of me minced meat and mozzarella cheese.
The other good thing about this restaurant was it's focus on cleanliness, it was neatvand clean. Tgey have good ordering system and the waiting time for foor during peak periods is a bit long but it's to be expected. They have another speciality and that's the bubur or porridge..a must have
Good naan and tandoori chicken! Honestly I can’t really taste the difference between mozzarella cheese (RM7.50) and regular cheese (RM4) naan so with the price difference I’d go for the regular cheese naan - it’s just as good! Also, the choice of curry you pick can be priced significantly differently (probably go for normal dhal curry if you wana save some money). I personally feel RM8 is a little steep for kari kambing, would rather go for RM4 kima lembu instead. But nevertheless, they all taste really good
