We like this place a lot, but food and service are uneven. Tip: if no one brings you a menu, go get your own next to the cash register, then order at the counter. People who wait for menus and a waitress can wait a long time; so you might need to be pro-active here.
If there are flies, get one of their whirligig contraptions to put on the table--they make a huge difference.
The burgers are quite good, and the Santo eye filet is fantastic, but we noticed we got a much larger portion here the first time we came. It comes with a sauce, but put it on the rice only as it deters from the wonderful flavor of the steak.
Note the steak tends to come less cooked than you order; so you might want to order medium if you want medium-rare. All these issues notwithstanding, this is a really good place to eat.
Update: We just tried breakfast here, splitting an omelet and the Japanese breakfast. Both were fabulous!
I feel home whenever I have Japanese cuisines at the restaurant run by a Japanese nice lady. The restaurant itself have been well maintained, clean wash room, disciplined lovely staff and of course good meals. It is Japanese standard and quality.
This time I had the curry, I'd thought it would have been precooked one when but it was hand made, plenty vegetables are put inside and infused with selected spices. I didn't expect to have such a authentic Japanese curry there in Santo.
Highly recommended!!!
Managed by Tomomi who is a very friendly lady from Japan. Lovely location with sea breeze in Luganville. Great food and beverages. Their prices are lower than most other places.
Delicious! We enjoyed, the kids enjoyed, and who'd have thought ramen would go down so well in humidity and heat. Make sure you come here for a lunch!
