I used to go here frequently, then quite a few years ago it seemed to be going down hill. The food wasn't as good and I had some poor service. Recently, a friend of mine, who had never been, and I decided to give it another try, as it was the only place to get lunch on the way home. To say I was pleasantly surprised was an understatement. It wasn't terribly busy, but there was a full bar and several other tables. The bartender was working alone, and took excellent care of us and the other diners and bar guests efficiently and in pleasantly. The food was very very good! The french fries especially so! I was amazed that they not only had gluten-free options for bread, but that they were actually very good buns! That's pretty rare. I had a headache sandwich and my friend had a southwestern style salad with chicken. I can't remember the exact name of it but it was the typical tortilla bowl with a very large salad with lots of Mexican flavored chicken. I had a few bites and thought it was something I would probably order next time. The fries were addictive I can't get over how good they were. We had iced tea and believe it or not that's something that a lot of restaurants don't get right. It was very good not as good as the seagull shop in pemaquid but really you're not there for the iced tea anyway! Overall I'm looking forward to going back. During the storm and power outage in September, we had to find a last minute spot that was open for our sons night before wedding dinner. They were able to accommodate a party of 17 with 20 minutes notice. The service, food and atmosphere was amazing! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Nachos

Overall good experience. Small establishment, so it is a cozy dining experience. There was only one waitress, so you need to be patient. Once you are served, you get service with a smile. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Nachos

If you are looking for a hidden away spot off the beaten path, this is it! The food was good, the bar size was cozy, the staff was friendly, and they had some good local beers on tap! Can't ask for anything else honestly; would definitely recommend if you are in the area. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It's a small place but it was filled all the way with one bartender and she was a boss. She handled it like nothing. Gave pretty good service. My food took a little longer than I expected but again the place was packed full. They have amazing onion rings, maybe some of the best I've had. The pulled pork was okay. Can't beat the prices here. Food is fresh and delicious! I just had to add to this review, you might have to wait a little bit if they're busy but it's well worth the wait! The food is always stellar! My go to take out meal is the broiled haddock dinner. I suggest you be there when they tell your order will be ready so you can immediately take it home and devour it! Very delicate light crisp buttery crumb topping on always very fresh clean tasting haddock. And we got a special Wing appetizer tonight, Honey Sriracha. They were some of the best wings we've ever had. You can tell they make the glazed sauce to order for every order. I will never stop coming here and it's a hundred thousand times better than Moody's Diner. They're creme brulee is pretty amazing as well! Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I gave it three stars because I'm older and boy is this place loud. When it's full - and it always is - people ramp up their conversations to be heard and it gets louder and louder. It's a small space and the sound bounces off the walls and ceiling. The food was good though the chowder was not hot and overly creamy for our taste. Service attentive and friendly. Sadly there was little in the way of a brown ale available. Actually, there was none. Typical IPAs and lagers and the ubiquitous stout. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
