We thought the food here was very good! I had the oxtail, and they were the best I have had in Minneapolis. The jersey chicken was also delicious. I highly recommend this place.

So I criticized the bad reviews, and said to still give it a try. We walked in to this place for the first time and there were only 3 people in front of us. The guy (chef/owner) says there’s no more ox tail and the person in front of me says that’s what she came for cause her daughter is here from out of town. He proceeded to say okay I’ll make an exception for you RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. We were next in line and asked for ox tail as well and he said no more ox tail but the other food is good as well. I then said we came for the ox tail only nothing else. So I’ll keep my business at Pimento Kitchen who has GREAT OX TAIL AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT. Will not be returning to Nanny’s Jamaican Kitchen.

I enjoyed everything but the cabbage and beef patty! The plantains, oxtail and rice combined are very good and my favorite.
