I always ask for extra mayo on my burger, and this Nando’s took the request to heart and didn’t disappoint! The meal was fantastic, the vibe was upbeat and everybody was very friendly. With a craving for something new I decided to try The Great Pretender Pita option from Nando's after reading about it online, I never pass up a new meat substitute product. I ordered it along with some spicy rice, the rice was a bit dry but enjoyable... but the main meal was a miss and not because of taste, the description says IN a pita and what I got was lumped around a Pita, I couldn't pull the food out and the paper wrapping stuck to the leaking sauce and ingredients leaving me to pick it out. Picture attached for reference. The taste? Was great. I cannot wait to try it again with the variety of flavours offered and being able to mix and match, but it will be elsewhere and hopefully not disintegrated. I am really disappointed. I just ordered full chicken and 3 sides at Nandos Parktown North and they delivered the chicken with cool drinks. I called them and asked where are my sides and the lady told me that they are the cool drinks which doesn’t make sense. Since when are sides cool drinks? I asked that they send the sides and collect their cool drinks and they refused... this is disappointing, it was supposed to be lunch for my family today. Now what are we going to eat ? They didn’t even try to reach me halfway. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I no longer live in SA and am currently visiting. I had a Nandos craving. I ordered a simple takeout this evening at Parktown North Nandos. A lemon and herb wrap and chips. The wrap was slobby, wet and cold, and fell to pieces as I tried to eat it. The chips were lukewarm and most were still slightly raw. Dear me but standards have really dropped. So sad. They had a new milkshake on the menu which I ordered. They forgot an ingredient apparently, and sprinted to my car to make me a new one. I probably wouldn't have noticed, but the service I got made sure that I'll always recommend them and they have a customer for life. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

2nd Update:To Nandos credit they did finally contact us for a retry at the meal.All things said,they deserve 2 and a half stars.Kids chicken strips were excellent and the little ones enjoyed them thoroughly.Burgers were still just thrown together and had I not checked they still would have been wrong-so had to redo again. Chips were average and rushed almost-rather let us wait and get it right. More brownish lettuce than green, doorstep sized cut tomato but at least the chicken was moist and not charred and dry. Update: Downgraded even further. Sent and posted this to not only the website, the head office as well as customer care line. Absolutely no response.Clearly you couldn’t care less about your customers or their return business, let alone brining the brand down!!! Seriously below average.After extended wait for take away(we were only customers there at the start),the lady behind the counter was more interested in having a constant conversation with the other staff.Paid for cheese and pineapple(R9 each for X2 burgers) and didn’t receive pineapple?Burger was slapped together, chicken over cooked-hard edges and on top of it cold-implies it was there for a while. And let alone what happened to lemon and herb and mild? More like hot and nothing flavor. Chips, well don’t even bother. For the prices, would go somewhere else-didn’t come anywhere near expectations.
