It is located night market of National Taiwan Normal University and approximately 15 minutes walking distance from Taipei Power MRT. It is more like an open-space restaurant with few sitting areas and an open kitchen. They usually serve seasonal fresh vegetarian and nonvegetarian cuisine at affordable prices. The quality and quantity are well justified with price tags. Moreover, you can ask for free extra salads and curry. Besides, the hospitality, and the friendly nature of the owner are the plus point. The food was very tasty, price is very reasonable for the size of the portion, the boss also offered us to add the curry sauce which is a very kind of him, appreciate that. The waiter was also very kind and polite, they also can speak in English or Indian if you can’t speak Chinese. The thing is that you have to wait a little longer if you want to dine in, other wise if you want to take away then it’s almost perfect. This restaurant is located at Shida night market, Taipei city. You can take MRT from CKS memorial to Taipower station. I ordered vegetarian food which was Aloo matar curry with naan and rice, it was good to eat. They provided a glass of dinking water and salad along with spicy Indian sauce as a complimentary item. Besides it, they can refill the gravy if needed. Overall it was worth to eat as it was less pricey than Indian restaurant in Taiwan. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Generous portion! Lucky me that I found this restaurant! So close to NTNU! You can find this restaurant easily. Menu is straight forward, you order and you get your order promptly. I love the atmosphere around the restaurant. The everything about food that I ordered (chickpeas with rice) was spot on! Generous portion for the price! The owner is well versed and very knowledgeable and hospitable! Definitely going back for more! I was surprised to have such an authentic Indian food with affordable price. I usually don’t eat lamb but their lamb cherry doesn’t have the “lamb” smell I dislike and it turns out very tasty and the meat is also very tender. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $200–400

Overrated. Curry is interesting, quite different from other places nearby and turmenic rice is a nice touch. But sooo boney, almost every chicken chunk had a bone. And rather overpriced. 咖哩戰線 nearby much better cp value for indian style curry. Very few seats.

Amazing food 🍛 Amazing Chai 🧋 Amazing chef 👨‍🍳 By far my favorite place to eat to eat Indian food. The owner and chef Tashi has a heart of gold and really takes care of his customers, and is super passionate about Indian cuisine! I love the chickpea curry! It is a very simple dish yet the flavors are so rich and satisfying. The homemade hot sauce adds a real kick try it if your brave, and don’t forget the handmade nan. Also, definitely try the Indian “pulled” Chai! It’s delicious and it’s preparation is quite the show. The prices are very reasonable at Namaste Taiwan, much more affordable then other Indian restaurants in town, and the food here is better because Tashi makes it with love ❤️

Delicious and affordable indian food restaurant. We had butter naan, chana masala,mutton curry and rice. Everything was extremely delicious. Also had daal, mix veg, and chicken curry the other day. Those were also very tasty. They also serve chutney and salad. Masala Tea is also very refreshing and tasty. Must visit place for trying Indian food. Have tried Indian food at different restaurant in Taipei (Masala House, Kaveri Indian restaurant, Out of India, Calcutta Indian food, Delhi XPress, Namaste Taiwan). Could say Namaste Taiwan is the Best Indian food in Taipei I have tasted. The place is really small, but the quality of food we get is worth the price (170/180 NTD).
