We’ve had Mungo’s many times, dine in and carry-out. It is consistently good and the staff and owner are consistently great hosts. Our most recent visit, this evening, resulted in an unfortunate outcome when our daughter’s to-go container broke resulting in little pieces of plastic all over her food. She was upset and couldn’t eat her food. I was upset because I was tired after a long day and didn’t feel like driving back or discussing the issue with the restaurant because it wasn’t their fault, it’s just a fluke, but it’s still frustrating because it happened to our kid’s meal and for kids every little thing is a nightmare. But my wife did me a big solid and made the trip back up to get a replacement meal. Not only did the folks at the restaurant make her a replacement and give her a discount and profusely apologize, they gave my wife a gift card for our next visit. Running any business, particularly a restaurant, is very hard. Doing what is good and right and being a good business person who always takes care of the customer is even harder…because customers can be very hard to deal with. I’d like to give a big thanks to Tony and a nod to all the staff who are always so friendly. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Outstanding and we are looking forward to our next visit. What a pleasant surprise and I’m kicking myself for not trying Mungo’s sooner. It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for and if you’re looking for bar food keep walking down the street, this isn’t your place. Great food!!!! Great atmosphere!!! We sat at the bar to eat and the Bartender (didn't catch his name but... remember he lived in the Benton Park area) but he was great. Welcoming, polite and great conversation. He definitely made us feel at home and comfortable. He recommended the lasagna and let me tell you what, best lasagna I have ever had. Great food. Went for a birthday. Made a reservation, then asked for a special private table for me and my wife but instead I was seated like a walk-in, at a booth with other people.
