Approaching the subway counter, I was the only customer and the employee behind the counter made eye contact with me and said nothing. She continued to complete a sub. If she was busy with other customers, a greeting would not have been necessary...but this was purposeful. Working in customer service, I could tell she was miserable and wasn't going to convey niceties. She asked what I wanted. I told her
She asked what cheese. I told her. She asked ways veggies. I told her
When she wrapped the sub I asked " can i get the baked lays" behind her. She did not say a word or give me eye contact...turned around grabbed them. Put them in the bag with sub, printed a receipt and handed the bag to me. Without. A. Word. I matched her energy and did not thank her. I took the bag and walked away.
This is at 12:15 pm on a Friday. There were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS at the Subway. Now I know why and I won't be back. Customer service costs the employer nothing to train...but youve lost a customer because you didnt't. That was awkward.
Went in to get subway at 6:05 tonight, Saturday. There was a hand written sign that said opened again after 6:30. I said to the long haired blonde young kid attendant "Subway is closed til after 6:30?" The attendant responded very snotty and rudely "What does it say?"
WOW!!!
Great service during the day but it says open 24h and some nights they are open all night and others more than not they are closed and no information on when they actually open?
