My husband brought home some food, I tried it and we immediately went back for more! The red beans and rice, macaroni are both some of the best if not the best I have ever had. Ordered via door dash, was disappointed. Shrimp sort of had a freezer burn taste to it and I asked for no sausage 😔. Presentation and taste overall was a no for me personally HOWEVER shrimp n grits is pretty hit or miss so I’m open to trying other things on the menu in the future. Service Delivery Meal type Brunch Price per person $1–10
The gumbo itself warrants 5 stars. Worth the trip and price. Best I've ever had. This place is hard to find but apparently all the locals just know where it is. Lunch time packed with people who are in for super comfort food. There is nothing fancy here. Just good food and friendly folks running the place. It is a tiny bit pricey but I think this place is also doing community development and jobs training via the restaurant. Again, worth it.

Absolutely delicious. When you drive up the place looks like an old elementary school. We weren't sure what we were looking for in trying to find Ms. Audrey's as we wound our way through the neighborhood but I'm all about trying places out so we gave it a shot. OUTSTANDING!! When you walk in they have a menu written out on a white board for the specials. It's a cafeteria style line but with down home southern grandma cookin'. Everything was the best tasting you can ever imagine. I'm originally from South Park in Beaumont Texas and we had a few places way back when that were ran by ladies that knew how to cook soul food the old ways and Ms. Audrey's really reminded me of those times. We had Mama Dora's back then that was setup similarly. The memories...... also the place reminded me of eating at MawMaw's house....just great food. I had the mashed potatoes with some ox tail gravy and just that was out of this world amazing and astounding....I don't even know how to explain in words how good this food is. I had the fried chicken and this is done so right, lightly breaded...tender....seasoned just right... Good Lord I hope she has a location in heaven. I also got the dressing, again.... absolutely amazing. I can't stress this enough.... unbelievably delicious. We've been on vacation eating and all the expensive and highly recommended spots in Biloxi and this BEATS THEM ALL. I had the banana pudding for desert and it was perfect. It's obviously a local treasure, kind of hidden back away from the beaten path but it's worth the trek to find it. The prices are cheap for what you are getting, the portions are substantial and this is food you can taste the love in. It's different when people are passionate about what they cook and you can really sense that here. Tip these ladies well because they are doing magic at Ms. Audrey's Southern Kitchen.

Walking into Ms Audrey’s Southern Kitchen was reminiscent of being in Chicken Hut in Durham, NC!! The home cooked meal in the air, the cafeteria style w/trays and all. The music that I grew up listening to with that southern hospitality that you don’t tire of but don’t get often…you know being acknowledged upon walking into a business? Yes!!! You get that here! Smiling faces serving deliciousness! I decided on the shrimp plate with collards and mac n cheese…I did that! Beat decision I made in Mississippi that day. I had to take home some shrimp and I typically don’t have to do that however my plate has been as full as my stomach was at that time. Generous plate topped off with an Arnold Palmer. Everything was beautiful to me the folks, hearing their laughter while eating I knew I was not going to be disappointed and that mac n cheese rivals Chicken Hut’s and my Mommas when she used to cook. BUT that thin battered seasoned to perfection shrimp!! Whoo make my mouth water thinking about it. Thank you Ms. Audrey’s S.K. I appreciate y’all. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

I must say that after living in Gulfport for 2 years I thought all I would find would be po boy sandwiches and plenty of fast food establishments after eating at miss Audrey's I can actually say I have found great home Southern cooking. Her food is the definition of down right Southern cooking. I usually take pictures of the food before I eat it unfortunately this food was so good I kind of demolished it with my wife and kids before I could take pictures The fried chicken had so much flavor the smothered pork chops were absolutely soft and flavourful the gumbo had fresh seafood with the rice was corn stuffing was full of flavor the sweet macaroni and cheese was delicious The stringbeans had good flavor the collard greens had a beautiful kick and flavor the bread pudding was absolutely delicious and the banana pudding was equally delicious the price point was excellent all for under $40 we felt like we had a buffet. I really was impressed with the flavor and the staff was so lovely. You know the food is great when the staff is absolutely bragging about the food as well. I went back to try the oxtail and had it with some of the best damn mashed potatoes I have ever tried. The sweet corn was so great it tasted like Spanish rice pudding but with corn and less of a dessert it was just down right delicious. Her food is amazing. The oxtail was full of flavor it was not dry. It was so soft and juicy the meat was falling off the bone.

I always enjoy the food, but my last trip was exceptional! The chicken and waffles were excellent! The atmosphere is also great from the music, to the staff and even the customers themselves! You may see anyone from the community; from blue collar, CEO's, military, locals or tourists, and they all seem to add to the down home good vibe of Ms. Audrey's! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I was disatisfied for several reasons: the collard greens for me and my husband were very gritty; my baked chicken (thigh and leg) was hard and taste old; the cornbread dressing was sweet and very loose; and one of my sides was left off my order. In spite of replacement sides for the gritty greens and a replacement for the missing side, I was dissatisfied with my food experience. However, the restaurant it is worth experiencing for yourself.
