Chicago style, Chicago "like" style.. they use hoagies instead of French, their large deep dish is more like a small pan pizza, thin crust saucy like Giordano's, hardly any cheese, But flavor full. I hear the Italian beef and the meat ball were also rather tasty. It's not surprising that most places just can't understand or do Chicago deep dish right, but as far as Italian goes it's nice to see a place down here that does come pretty close. I would probably not order the crab rolls though and almost $10 these tiny little bits were pretty good but pricey for what you get... This place is highly recommended, the food was very tasty and service was great. The good: - Prices ranged from $10.50 (subs) and $23.99 for large pizzas. - Steve our server, had great recommendations, and was extremely nice and attentive. - They have a full bar including margaritas, martinis, cocktails and wine. - They make their own Italian dressing, it was delicious. - The atmosphere was very old italian vibes from the decor and the seating. They have booth and tables. I think about 20, maybe?, and they have a bar seating as well. - They is public parking near by. The not so good: - Our food took a bit longer, but the place was packed, so that may have been the reason. - The bathrooms are only two individual ones (man and woman), so you may need to wait for a bit. Highly recommend. Super friendly staff. Quick service. The staff was attentive and never let our drinks run dry. The long island iced tea is one of the best I have ever had. We tried the toasted ravioli and they was amazing. The sauce was the best part. Ordered The Famous Mr. G Deep dish and it did not disappoint. Very impressed with this hidden gem. Definitely going on the list of favorites to return to. I hope that it will serve for many return trips. We ordered 2 medium Chicago style deep dish pizzas, one vegetable and one meat lovers and some fried ravioli for 52 bucks. We got 2 thin crust pizzas. Not pleased at all. Cool place. Friendly fun atmosphere and service Deep dish it definitely is NOT( see pics) Crust has a good flavor but texture is disappointing. Imagine the bread they ate in LoTR Toppings- high quality but low quantity. Definitely not "layers" of toppings and cheese is almost non-existent One pleasant surprise though I'm not a saucy pizza fan at all so I usually order it light. This is a great place downtown, friendly service, tasty food, and good vibes! You can get thin crust or Chicago style although I will say the “style” is on the thin side it’s not and actual “pie” like chicago but still delicious!
