My friend wanted to eat here again so we came for lunch at 11:15. They weren't busy yet. We both ordered the chicken with vegetables. We also got the spring roll, fried rice, and egg drop soup. The rice looked and tasted more like steamed rice. It was chewy and wasn't even browned. The entree wasn't the same as last time either. It was in a white sauce and the vegetables weren't cooked. The soup was really good and so was the spring roll. My friend made the comment that the portions were smaller. I noticed that too. We won't order that dish again. We'll stick with something that we know we like for sure, unless they mess it up. We did take out this time. I ordered fish with black bean sauce... delicious. I've always gotten delicious food here. Never disappointed. Always fresh and hot. Our order had to be carried in a big cardboard box...lol. My tray of fish fillets was too big for a bag. Their fried rice is good, too. Service is courteous and friendly and quick. I love this place! Stopping in town on way home from holidays and craving Chinese food so placed order. Online order was super simple and didn't pay until we got there which was nice. Ordered steamed potstickers, egg drop soup, and chicken fried rice. Soup was delicious and potstickers and rice were standard. Girl at the counter was super sweet when we got there and made sure we had everything we needed for when we go to the hotel to eat. Solid place and would stop here again. Eating here is like giving your appetite just what it needs! The menu is categorized by meat, rice, and noodles. Asking for extreme spicy wasn't an issue, and what I ordered had the spice level I LOVE (I'm Thai). I ordered a variety of different platters, and each one was just as great as the last. Mr. Chen's is definitely a wonderful hidden gem in Tuscaloosa. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best fried rice and lo mein I've had in a while. The egg rolls were really good. As good as DC or SF Chinatown, but costs a bit more. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in T-town. We got egg rolls that were good but not great. The Crab Rangoon was excellent, as was the chicken and vegetables. The combo fried rice was awesome. If we lived nearby, we would eat here every week. Went for dinner had the Mongolian chicken, Mongolian beef, pineapple shrimp, fried bacon meat, crab rangoon and duck. Overall everything was pretty good but the Mongolian chicken and pineapple shrimp I would most definitely order again Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

There was not a wait at 11a on a Sunday. The server was friendly and helpful and the place was clean. I had the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The food was just average. The fried rice didn’t have a whole lot of flavor to me and was more sweet than anything else. The chicken and sweet and sour sauce had a good flavor. My husband had the orange chicken and enjoyed it. I did not like the egg roll. I would try something else next time. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. First time eating here and it was delicious! Service was awesome too! We didn’t taste anything that we didn’t like. The sauce with the dumplings was to die for! Will definitely eat here again! Don’t let the area outside this establishment deter you! We didn’t have time to check out the grocery side but it was well stocked and appeared to have lots of inventory!
