It was a great stop right next to the hotel where we stayed, I loved their garden pasta (which is a good vegan option if you don’t eat meat) and their chocolate margarita which came down to basically 2 full glasses for its very reasonable price. Our waiter, Monique, was incredibly helpful and very attentive too! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Good location, friendly service, but a bit disappointed with the food. Expected it to be more quality and tasty due to its prime location but the expectation didn’t met reality. Note: They don’t accept reservation, it’s only walk-in, there might be a queue of customers waiting to be seated. Parking behind the restaurant is limited as well. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I ate here once almost two years ago during the summer and had to come back again when I was in town to visit Hearst Castle again. In the summer it was very busy and I had to wait an hour to be seated, but I figured the food must be good for so many people to be eating here. I had the calamari and clam chowder in a bread bowl and found both to be delicious. This time there were far fewer people since it's winter, and when I arrived at 5pm, there was no wait. I was immediately seated at a table by the window, so I got to enjoy the view of the ocean while eating. There's also a pretty large outdoor patio area with open and covered seating and heat lamps for those who'd prefer to eat outdoors. I had the clam chowder again because it was so good last time, but I tried a different appetizer, the coconut shrimp, and enjoyed that too (especially the sweet and spicy dipping sauce served with the shrimp). It's a little in the pricey side, but the staff is friendly, the views of the ocean (literally across the street) can't be beat, and the food is very yummy. We were looking for some good seafood coming from a landlocked state so we found Moonhouse. The service was incredible! Very attentive and friendly. The food was okay but not as good as we expected. The clam chowder was the best thing we ate! The seafood pasta had potential but the sauce could have been so much more flavorful. The tequila chicken pasta had a good sauce. Calamari was good but not excellent. I did have a great virgin mojito! Worth going to for the clam chowder though! It's not fine dining but the food is pretty darn good, this isn't first date worthy second third on a nice sunny day with the ocean view yes, I've never had a bad meal here, it is what it is, great coctails especially the bloody Marys, I would argue one of the best I've ever had. Clams are great, oysters great, sandwiches great, fish tacos great! I literally go here first whenever I go to Cambria. Sit out on the patio watch the ocean with your bloody Mary and your bowl of clams Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
