Tyler is a very professional, patient and Kind. Tyler and the other staff were friendly and helpful with my family. Monzon’s Mexican Cantina Bossier City. Fresh and delicious, Tasty ground taco beef, very good Charro Beans. Red sauce was a little sweet and taste like a Spaghetti Sauce, next get cheese sauce or chili sauce on Beef Enchiladas! I ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye, rice, beans and cup of chicken tortilla soup. I asked for a medium rare steak but it was medium. The waitress agreed and said she would return it but I didn’t want to trouble the cook. Steak had a lot of fat and grizzly. The soup only had squash, zucchini, cabbage and onion in broth. No chicken or tortilla in the soup. The waitress did give us a discount for the steak issue. We thanked her and gave her a tip like normal. It was our 1st time eating there and it will be my last. It was our 35th Anniversary and I spent the rest of the night with diarrhea. My wife had enchiladas and she was fine. Love those authentic rellenos! They have an array of sauces: the white queso is deliciously spicier than the yellow queso and the green poblano sauce is creamy and lighter than the cheese sauce. The cheese enchilada was filled with really tasty cheddar cheese. The martinis and margaritas are very high priced --suggest you wait until lady's night half price drinks on Thursday. I was surprised the margarita was served in a styrofoam cup....but that had the advantage of allowing takeout if I had just remembered to pick it up and take it with me...haha. The room is attractive, clean and bright with enough elbow room for cozy parties of two and big groups. Oh, and they have live music some evenings. Better than average tex-mex restaurant.
