We stopped here for a few drinks and it was a nice place the staff were very welcoming and it was not a wait to get a drink and they have an in side outside place to sit it was nice. Price per person $10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stepped into the Monkey Bar to avoid a rainstorm and we are so glad that we did. We were visiting Kemah for the afternoon having arrived in Houston on our honeymoon tour of Texas. The bartender and the locals were so friendly and welcoming that we got lots of great recommendations for the rest of our trip. We stayed for several hours trying many of the great beers and getting a lesson in how to eat Crawfish! We would highly recommend stopping by this bar if you are in the area.

Great, friendly local hangout with amazing food by Cat Scratch Kitchen. Fun and friendly bartenders & staff. Typical drink prices. I enjoy the large patio and live music. Inside is a pool table, darts, Golden Tee, and other games. (Kid-friendly certain hours) Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon. Price per person $1–10 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Little hole in the wall type spot. It's back behind the madness of Voodoo Hut. Was a tighter crowd here than other spots but chill and staff was quick once they saw us. Live music on the deck right out back (overlooking the block with Kemah Shot Bar and Palapa's) was nice. Strong drinks!!

Perfect place for us to stay, we were a group of five and came to spend Memorial Day and party a little. It is on top of a bar so do not come expecting peace and quiet all night. The place is nice and has everything you might need. The only reason I have not given this a five star is the master bedroom does get very warm at night. If you plan to stay in that one maybe bring a fan but other than that this place was great would stay again.

Wednesday night is spicy boiled shrimp night. All I can say is wow. I added a dungeness crab cluster to tp it off. This place is ausome
