I visited Momo for the first time last night and I was absolutely impressed. The food was presented beautifully, flavors were a 10/10, you could also taste the freshness off the ingredients. This is a restaurant worth giving a try as the ambiance is very fun, staff are friendly and attentive, most importantly the food will not disappoint Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This place is great. They actually deserve 5 stars, but I asked the waiter to please put my food in a takeaway container, as the portions are nicely sized, and I only got through half of my food. He said no problem, when I went home, I see I was given pork boa buns instead of my vegetarian tofu rice leftovers... so some poor person who ordered on Uber eats received my half eaten food. It was very disappointing. I would visit again because the food was amazing, just need some fine tuning on their service delivery. Been going to Momo Roku since they have opened, I fell inlove with their sushi and pokè bowls. Atleast once a month we would drive over 70kms to have a pokè bowl from them. In the last three months, something must have changed as their quality went out the window, first two times I wrote it off, the final straw was on My birthday, they ruined my special day with their bad food, the rice in the poke bowl was inedible, it was rice that was standing outside that had become hard and no longer chew but crusty, I immediately notified the waiter, she ignored me. They didn't have main sauce of the Oahu, leaving me forced to ask for Mayo and spice to add flavour to a very dry pokè bowl. I even wrote on the receipt how horrible the food was, I did not even eat a 10th of it, the waiter just shrugged her shoulders when i complained and said she will tell the manager when he returned. She didn't take my number or apologise. All their emails do not work and they don’t bother answering socials. When we got home we were terribly sick. NEVER EVER AGAIN Update Went back due to Prince’s( manager)many calls and follow ups to invite us back. However they still never had the ingredients to make the poke bowl and seems like it had been months since they received certain ingredients. We then had the wings, a ramen bowl and some sushi. All of which were good. Unfortunately their lack of ingredients is a problem. Note we paid for this even though he invited us back. As I am sure they need to stay open Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 200–250 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
The restaurant has a very lovely aesthetic, which exuded a warm and inviting ambiance. The attached photos can attest to its visual charm. The staff is friendly and professional. They greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. We made a midweek lunch visit, the service was impressively quick, although we suspect it was due to the restaurant being relatively quiet at the time. While waiting for our food to arrive, we had a delicious oolong tea that perfectly complemented the anticipation. Taking the waiter's recommendation, I decided to try the Mala Dry Pot. While it had a notable spiciness, it unfortunately fell short in terms of taste. It lacked the flavorful punch I was hoping for. However, my girlfriend's choice of the teriyaki beef bao proved to be a winner. She found it exceptionally tasty, with a delightful combination of flavors. We spent less than R300 for the two of us, which we found to be a reasonable price. Have your portions halved in size? My Uber eats order was a child size portion. I've had two bites in this photo. Meal type Lunch Price per person R 100–150 Recommended dishes Noodles

After an extremely crazy day and not having time to eat, we ended up going to Momo Roku and we were not disappointed. My partner is Asian so I know the standard for western Asian food is pretty high. Unsurprisingly, he loved the food. There are plenty of veg options, which I’m thankful for as that often is a struggle when going out. Aside from the bowls, we ordered baos. They were so great that we even got some from my in laws who were raving about the authenticity of the flavor! A definite must visit!

The atmosphere was great, it wasn't too full and the service was super friendly. Just a bit aloof but other than that, no complaints. Food was also very good and came out quite fast (it wasn't too busy when I went). Would definitely recommend. P.S (they don't serve any alcohol however you can bring your own, they let us order from the bar or whatever next door 😅.. That would be a different review though) Service Dine in Price per person R 150–200 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Tokyo Noodle Bowl
Absolutely shocked! Where is management? We walk in ,sit down, and proceed to wait.. I then walk up to the front desk, place my order and sit down... then after a hefty wait a waitress brings our bill... this is a glorified drive thru but with a wait and no follow up ...what is the point of this place? I was so excited to try Tteokbokki for the first time. I was extremely disappointed and they made it bad, not even a little bit authentic. I tried the Korean Chicken Wings, Crispy Calamari, Shanghai Bowl, Tteokbokki, Salmon Kauai Poke Bowl, Black Dragon Tea, Turkish Delight Drink and it was all mostly bad, sent two dishes back. Not a Korean restaurant. In my opinion the menu has too many different Asian dishes but they are a master of none. They should choose one kind of Asian cuisine and stick to what they know how to do well instead. I'll only ever go back for the Turkish Delight Drink, won't ever try the food again. The restaurant is smaller than I expected but the service was bad even though there were only three tables being used including my own.
