Milly's store and restaurant is an excellent place for a stop over for a break, something to eat, and to browse through the store. While sitting down for something to eat and drink, look out over the large dam of water. A peaceful time to relax before continuing your journey. The store has many items that you can buy. Or, just walk through and have a look around - maybe there is something for you. You can also fill up with petrol or diesel while there.
A great place to stop on your way to or from Mbombela. Their smoked trout is delectable. The paté and roulade delicious! It's worth the pricey price. Restaurant next door is good with tasty food and good service at affordable prices. Also beautiful setting on the dam with greenery all round.
I don't eat fresh water fish... EXCEPT for Milly's Trout. O my greatness it's good. We bought frozen pies and vis koekies. I will support you every time we go past there. Clean, neat environment.
Beautiful setting, nice restaurant, good service & food. Curio shop on site, just find it very pricey. Also, lots of staff are standing around at every corner in the shop. They just watch customers. Felt quite uncomfortable at stages. Cashiers not friendly.
This is a great spot to take a break from a long drive. Stretch your legs, grab a bite, and topup the fuel.
Milly's has a cafe, restaurant and deli side by side. All 3 establishments are fill with delicious meals to tuck into.
The deli has a ton of homecrafts. There is also a wide variety of jams, preserves and sauses. I grabbed the blueberry jam and Chilly sause on the last trip and both are delicious. Biscuits and fishy products are also available for purchase.
The restaurant overlooks the dam that is teeming with trout. It has a wide variety of fishy and non fishy foods available to dig into. There is also a small playground for the little ones.
The cafe has a view of the dam. There a a couple of tables and a variety of pies, sandwiches and waffles available. The cafe is a little pricy where you pay R30 for a small pie.
Overall a great little spot to stop and stretch.
Really good food. The service is of a good quality and level. We often stop here for a hearty breakfast before driving further to Kruger National Park. There is a kids play area and a very large lake filled with fish. The variety of stores and facilities is quite impressive and you can even get an excellent coffee here.
