Just a cute little diner like place next to the railroad. I loved it

May, 2023: The Millington Station Cafe is popular with the local crowd who are happy with standard breakfast or lunch fare.
The atmosphere is that of a train station with train-related memorabilia adorning the walls.
They cater to young children with coloring books and crayons. If you are lucky a lollipop may even be in the child's future.
As for the food?
It is what you would expect, nothing more, nothing less.
The staff is friendly, and oftentimes supplemented by local youth.
Some oddities you may want to be aware of: Their coffee is ok, but does not come with free refills as it does just about everywhere else on terra firma.
Also, do not expect to add your own milk/cream/sugar. They do it for you, reasonably well.
The Cafe is open at 7:00 am weekdays, and closes at 3:00 Monday through Saturday, 1:00 pm on Sundays.

I try to visit here once a week for takeout or something. The wait staff is great, typically remember my order. The food comes out quickly. My kids love coming here for Breakfast on weekends. Reasonably priced.

Tourist. Absolutely amazing food. I ordered the French toast bacon, two scrambled eggs with cheese and fried potatoes. My mom ordered two strawberry pancakes with fried potatoes and two scrambled eggs with cheese and my sister ordered six mini pancakes (kids) and bacon. Everyone enjoyed the food 100%. Hospitality was absolutely amazing. We dined outside so we were able to get pics with the train. Clean outdoors, no bugs. Food came out about 10-15 mins after ordering. Amazing experience. The ONLY critique I would have is the food was warm and not hot but it was fine for us.
We came across this quaint little Cafe, after getting off the interstate for gas and something to eat. It was just a few miles from the beaten path, but very much worth it. Such the change from the fast interstate and fast food regulars. The ambience was warm as were the two courteous host that tended to us. The walls were adorned with historical pictures of trains, which played into the fact that this place was a train stop. We had the opportunity to see both their lunch and breakfast menus, which had a large variety of items. We went with the breakfast menu and had omelets and french toast. All were delicious. Hot right off the griddle. The omelets were backed up with a healthy side order of home fries. This was probably a once in a chance experience for us, since we were heading home to Texas. I would highly suggest if you are in the area of Millington, NJ to stop on by and take a break from the fast pace of life and enjoy some great food.

The gyro was absolutely delicious but the customer service sucks. The older woman Jon or Joanna who answers the phone was rude. When I called to place the order, she rushed me during the typical “hi how are you” greeting. She said “can I help you” so rudely she’s disgusting with no manners. Then when I came in she was very cold even when it came to putting my food down at the table she had a lot of attitude and didn’t even say goodbye after I paid. She was very friendly and sweet with the other customers but just straight forward with me so I rushed my food because I felt really, super, uncomfortable. If you’re a person of color I highly recommend you just order food online/delivery to avoid the weirdo energy I experienced here. So not worth the in person experience.
Small cafe located at the Millington train station. Food here is always great. Typical diner options but much better than any other breakfast food nearby. Eggs are always perfectly cooked- although would note that they don't serve poached eggs for some reason... Pancakes are delicious and so fluffy! Coffee is great too. Would love to give this place 5 stars but I hate that they serve everything on styrofoam plates! I get that a lot of people might take their food to-go but even paper or cardboard would be much more eco-friendly than styrofoam. Other than that food is a must if you're in the area and looking for a quick breakfast.
