The most typical restaurant serving regional food with true Portuguese hospitality! I had two meals at this restaurant and I highly recommend if you are visiting the region and especially the town of Marvão. During my first meal, I had the honor of the company of the Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, it has the seal of approval of the Republic! I had to return the second day for another meal and it was consistently good. Portuguese food with no nonsense and a home hospitality.

Very very good traditional food and even better service. We went with a baby so it was kind of a expect the unexpected mood for us. Anyway, we had already ordered the food and gone through the entrées. Got to the Alentejana soup (which is awesome - ask how you should eat it - don't let it sit too long, the explanation is interesting and the waiter is very helpful) and the baby started crying. We asked if we could take away the food instead as the baby wouldn't calm down. They filled our containers even gave us cutlery for use. I loved the food and even more the service. Good job. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person €35–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sopa de Tomate
Beautiful family owned and run restaurant, great service and great food. I highly recommend this restaurant, I really enjoyed my visits there, the guy in charge speaks good English as well.
Very good food and service. Not expensive. Sangria is good. We had bacalhau assado.
The photos here don't show a lovely outside decking so you can eat outdoors it may have been biult more recently. The food was very good and the service was extremely friendly. We enjoyed the meal and atmosphere and the price was medium and reasonable.
Beautiful food, friendly staff! We went to this great local regional restaurant during the Pandemic and got some superb wild boar steak and Alentejo Pork grilled chops! Absolutely fantastic, the recommendation of the wine 600 was super good! Loved 600 altas quintas from a nearby producer! Cannot forget the dessert a home made local production walnut delicious tart!
Extraordinary food, family service - this is a right place to enjoy Alentejo's food (which is among the best of Portugal). It is worthy to speak previously with the owner (Mr. Hélder), as he presents so well what is there to be tasted. Obligatory to try - and to return (which I will, as soon as I go back to this enchanted region).
I absolutely recommend this spot if you want to have a proper meal from Alentejo. Food was delicious, we ate 'Sopa de cação' - unforgettable! Hélder, the owner, was a really great host for us. We had a really good time and want to come back to this place again!
