A cozy little place in the heart of Blantyre city. It is centrally located and about 10 mins drive from major spots in the city. It is located along the back roads of the city away from the hustle and bustle along tree lined pathways. The food is great. It also offers a bed and breakfast with a swimming pool. Definitely try the coffee. They source the beans from Malawi. Can’t get fresher than that.

The restaurant from mijnkitchen is very good. The food is very high quality and good portion sizes. You get your moneys worth. We had both breakfast and lunch here, both was very tasty. Service is very quick. The waiting staff is very friendly. There is a lovely outside area in the garden. If there is rain there is also an area with a roof. There is also a little store where you can get some cookies/cakes to go.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Sonia along with the staff went out of their way to make our stay excellent. Reasonably price, food great and spotlessly clean -I have no hesitation in recommending Mijn Kitchen. (wi-fi access not always great)
No need to say anything. Anyone who's knows anything about good food in Blantyre will bring up Mijn in the conversation. I hope management is seeing this but please, 1. Open the restaurant on Sundays. Nobody cooks on Sundays! you'd be doing us a huge favour. 2. Have you ever considered atleast allowing bookings for dinner. I would really like to have dinner here.

Beautiful garden cafe with delicious consistent food all the time. The specials change daily. They have a playground for the kids and the menu in general is family friendly

Beautiful gardens, best coffee that I’ve found, food good. Busy, great for people watching. Only downside, I asked for a Wi-Fi code and was told I needed to buy a voucher. As a tourist that is not a solution my phone is not compatible. Considering the profile of the customers and that they have accommodation it would not be difficult to provide Wi-Fi. If they must they could charge a token amount on your bill. I would have stayed much longer / bought more if I was able to scroll my phone as a solo traveller. Instead I read both newspapers provided and then made my way back from whence I came.

Where I spent my wedding night with my beautiful bride. Absolutely fantastic and a real relief because of a fuel shortage, we shouldn't go on our honeymoon. We did get to go the next day.

Good Food. Nice place. Be aware of the service charge if you come with your friends or family. If you are more than 6 people they will charge you extra. We have been 7 and had to pay 22.000 more by surprise.
I recently stayed here for 4 nights as I was visiting Blantyre for a medical missions trip. The hospital actually booked us here and I feel very blessed to have stayed at Mijn! The rooms were very clean, the beds comfy, the water pressure and temp perfect and the AC was remote controlled and VERY appreciated!! The food options for breakfast and lunch were absolutely delicious - the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. It was lovely to sit outside in the garden in the evenings - the grounds were beautiful. Martin - the manager - is wonderful. I honestly can't say enough about his friendly professionalism and dedication to his guests. No request was too big or too small - and it was always met with a smile. In all of my travels, I have never stayed at a place I loved more!!! Stay here, eat here, visit the gardens...whatever you do here you won't regret it.
Leoni, Sonia and Martin went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They made a room available to store all our bulky equipment, ordered our taxi, helped with currency logistics and made us feel at home. We loved the beautiful garden and outdoor feel of the verandah.
