My husband and I had an incredible lunch! We ate fried green tomatoes, corn fritters and their delicious mushrooms in brioche! He sipped on some wicked bourbon and I had the apple bomb. 10/10, definitely recommend the frid green tomatoes! Lovely restaurant tucked into a historical landmark. The menu is always changing and features a good bit of farm to table fare. Definitely upscale. Not overly pricey. Worth a visit and maybe a shareable item... Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fried Green Tomatoes
Middleton Gardens are some of the prettiest we have in the Charleston area. It makes the best outdoor wedding venue I could imagine. I will also suggest having lunch at the restaurant, it has a nice selection of dishes and they are all delicious. There is also a garden market and gift store that are well worth shopping. It is so worth the trip. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Roasted Mushrooms and Grits
Loved the atmosphere of this place. But food was very dry and bland. Thought it was a lot of money for the quality of food you get. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

This place definitely has cozy vibes with a view! The windows overlook the pond and gardens and it's a comfortable spot to have an intimate dinner. We have been in Charleston for a long time and had not heard of this restaurant until a friend gave us a gift card. What a gift! We arrived only 10 minutes before our reservation but I recommend arriving earlier so you can explore the grounds around the restaurant. Reservations are required, so make sure you make one before arriving. Entry to explore the grounds was included in the reservation. The menu is not extensive but has just enough options to make everyone happy. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

People complaining about the prices , it was absolutley not expensive we paid 77$ for two + dessert. Absolutley a fair price for the quality of the food. I am not sure where those people eat normally. The dinner was outstandingly delicious. I had the duck and my aunt went with the butcher cut of the day. The food was on Pointe. Everything tasted so delicious, I will recommend this restaurant to anyone. The bread rolls were so fantastic, the honey butter perfect to pair it with. Food was bland, not worth what they charge you for. Been to so many restaurants from low, mid to upscale—locally, out of state, and abroad—Middleton badly needs to up their game especially if they want to compete in the Charleston food scene. Waiter can’t tell us anything about a particular item in the menu when we asked him about it, didn’t know how to pour the wine so some of it spilled. I am unsure whether Middleton is trying to be a fancy restaurant or just casual but with how much they charge, you’d think it’s a fine dining place. The interiors feel and look cheap. The plates for breads were removed after we paid our bill LOL! So they’ve been sitting there the whole time we were dining, wondering when the waiter will take them away. I don’t mind if it’s not meant to be fancy, just bring down the prices of the food to match the vibe they’re going for. The music playing was also contemporary. I heard Backstreet Boys and then mid 2010s. Again, I won’t mind if it’s meant to be a casual restaurant. 90s music is my music so BSB is cool. How about some piano jazz? The black forest dessert came nothing close to the many Black Forest cake I’ve had in my life. Grocery cakes are even much better. Guess we paid a lot just to have a chance to walk around the plantation so for that, I can speak differently. The plantation was beautiful. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

It is such a beautiful location under the ancient oak trees and gorgeous views of the water. It is a memorable experience. Maggie took fantastic care of us and made delicious recommendations. It is a unique experience and I will be back again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
All I can say is that I would fly to eat here and fly back home. Insane how good the food is here. Incredible salad! So fresh...right from the Plantation Garden! The Saffron Cream Grouper with steamed mussels were amazing...fried chicken was ridiculous how crunchy and juicy it was. And let me tell YOU...I do not care for Pork chops...HOWEVER...I can now say, I have never had a properly cooked and seasoned pork chop until tonight. Our waiter Greg was such a friendly and kind man. Seek him out!!!!
We had reservations. I dpnt have a lot of complaints, mostly disappointed that the place didn’t feel fancy enough for what you’re paying. I think I had too high of an expectation for this place. The experience is underwhelming and the furniture looks cheap. Food was decent but it is costly. We had Sangrias for drinks, scallops as appetizer, Steak and Chicken as Entrees, and the dark forest cake as dessert. The scallops were my favorite. The dessert was terrible and felt like a leftover from a week ago. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100
