Just picked up the COD Fish & Chips to go. The COD was perfectly cooked, not too much breading and a precise crispness even after sitting in the container. The chips (fries) were so delicious that I could not stop eating them all, then they were gone. The tarter sauce was obviously home made and excellent. I do believe I have eaten one of my most favorite slaw dishes. Thanks Mickey!!! We love this restaurant for dinner, drinks or brunch! And if you are lucky enough to have Court as your server you will not be disappointed! My husband and I drove to Canyon last night to eat at Mickey's Place. Our second time. My husband had a ribeye and I ordered prime rib. The waitress brought our meal. I did not receive the normal horseradish or au jus with the dinner when the meal came out. I first took a bite of the Parmesan risotto and it was not edible it had so much parmesan, looking at my Prime Rib I could tell it was not freshly made. It was so soaked in a smoke flavoring that was over powering but the real kicker was I cut in to it and it was cold like it was just taken out of the refrigerator. I let the waitress know and she said she would let the manager know. The manager came to the table to let me know they were fixing me a complete new Prime Rib. By the time I got my dinner the husband was done eating his Ribeye, but it was not that warm when he got it. It was probably sitting there to awhile to be served. For the price we paid for a nice dinner we were so disappointed and will not go back. $70 dollars was too much for the meal were were served. Great place all the way around! We’re from Wisconsin and were camping at Palo Duo Canyon State Park and wanted someone else to make dinner and this place caught my eye. So glad we stopped in.
