2 out of 3 of us got food poisoning. Very bland food. No spice, no heat. Got 1/2 and 1/2 green chili, absolutely the blandest, non heat green chili I've ever ate in Pueblo. Salsa had no salt or heat to it. Not sure if we got food poisoning from the chicken or from the green chili. We will never eat here again. Food was horrible. Come for the pitcher of margaritas 🍹!! Stay for the sopapillas!! This restaurant is one of my go-tos when I come home to visit. I love the mural work on the walls, the service is always friendly, and you cannot go wrong on their menu, which offers a little something for everyone; pesctarian, vegetarian, or carnivore, they've got you covered. And of course, don't skip out on the sopapillas!! So hot and fresh and FLUFFY!! The ambiance, however, feels a bit institutional and cold because of the lighting. Perhaps replacing the incandescent bulbs with soft white would help warm up the place a bit? Just a suggestion. Overall, highly recommend Mi Ranchito 2 off of Pueblo Blvd should you get the craving for some local flavor. If there's a line at the door, wait it out! The food here is terrific. The short wait to be seated is offset by the fast service. Excellent chips to start with fresh salsa that had just the right amount of heat. Plates also come with rice and beans (like combo plates), and servings are big and very hot. Went to lunch with a friend and the food was amazing! Update to my review: I placed an order for carry out to have my burrito smothered in green chilli but that is not what I received. I have my burrito but there's no green chilli, only some kind of red enchilada sauce. It still tastes alright but it's not what I ordered. Very disappointed. Their Chicken flautas were very good. And the smothered tamale was very good. My husband's shrimp cocktail was good The only thing wrong was it had way too much tomatos. But other than that we really enjoyed our food. I usually don't eat out cause I'm very picky but I enjoyed our little lunch date. All employees were very respectful. Nice busy little local Mexican restaurant. Free parking and no wait to get in. Food is good. We had the chicken quesadilla, chilaquiles and beef taquitos appetizer. Reasonable prices. Service was so so (drink order had to be corrected and not a lot of attention during the visit.). Men’s room had a broken toilet seat and is pretty cramped. We got seated right away on a friday night around 7pm. The staff is super kind and our waitress...I believe her name was Clara Ann...she was FABULOUS....omg she was so prompt,friendly, cheerful, definitely knows her stuff. She made the visit...GREAT!!
