McDonald’s continues its well-deserved reputation for serving food That is sometimes mediocre, usually garbage. My fries were lukewarm; but the apathetic service at this location was what stood out. I’m tired of fast food employees staring at you while standing at the counter, waiting for someone to come over and take your order; as if they are hoping you will magically disappear. 12 dollars for this?? Went through drive thru, ordered 4 double cheese burgers got home. 15 min away. Nothing on sandwiches! So go 15 min back to get new ones. Sandwichs cold at this point! Manager comes to window says they're closing in 20 minutes and gives me the condiments in a damn box! Said it was because they were ABOUT to close. I was so mad I couldn't think to argue about it. Why is it so hard for people to treat others the way they would want to be treated? Went to pizza hut next door at 10:57, closes at 11. They took my order and didn't say anything about the time! Went to the drive through but it was barely moving. Went inside for a sausage McDuffieno egg just sausage and cheese. There was only one person in front of me. Took so long got in the car and it was all wrong. They gave me a sausage biscuit just sausage. They never get the order right. How hard is it? You don't need a college education. Drives me nuts, I can take waiting but at least give me what I ordered and paid for. Mc Donald's is getting worse and worse. Didn't really have a problem until recently. Was told to pull into a spot, I did and sat there for about 7 minutes. Only for someone to come out and ask what I had because they couldn't find my order. Then they bring it out and everything is cold. Why do I have to wait for almost 20 minutes total for cold food? And this isn't the first time I've had cold food after waiting. So hit and miss. Yesterday my coworker was shorted her coffee and napkins. Today I was shorted my hash brown. Sometimes good is over cooked. Sometimes it's under cooked. Went through the drive-thru after church. No other vehicles were ordering so I figured it would be quick service. After telling the employee our order, went to pay and they had issues finding the order. The girl ask what we had then goes to the next window. She comes back tells us the price and I pay. Get my card back, no receipt. Get to the next window. Lady there starts handing us our drinks and only hands us 4. We have 5 in the vehicle so ordered 5 drinks. Told her that we had a large coke too and she looks at a receipt and says no you don't it's a medium. I was like ok well then can I have my other drink and she tells me I only ordered 4. I asked for the receipt and she tells us to pull up to wait on out food so I did so. About a minute later a guy came up and asks what we had and I told him. And he goes back into the restaurant. Mind you there are also 5 other vehicles waiting on food. They had employees running around outside with bags of food having issues finding where they go. We got a girl that came up and asked if we had happy meals and I replied yes and she hands them to me and walks away. I said "hey miss" and she just kept walking. Waited another 5 minutes and my wife gets out to go inside for the rest of the food. Employees went out of their way to pretend she didn't exist. She was finally so frustrated she yelled that she needed to speak to a manager. She was in the store for like 10 minutes so I called her and asked if she had it straight and she said yeah. She comes back to the car after 30+ minutes of waiting on our "fast food". All employees besides the girl at the register and one guy that was helping my wife were completely rude and have no reason to be working any job where they have to deal with people. If you hate talking to people who has an issue that needs to be resolved, find a new occupation. The burgers I ordered honestly looked pitiful. Like buns completely flat, missing onions, and was just splattered with ketchup. This mcdonald's definitely needs a new restaurant for competition in Spruce Pine. Sadly we don't have any other burger place. If we decide we want a burger that bad, I guess we just need to wait to get to Burnsville before we stop at this one again. Just terrible. I ordered 3 things.. 2 bacon egg and cheese biscuits and hotcakes.. how do you mess that up?? They did. I figured since it was only 3 simple things they should get it.. I shouldn't have to check it, that's what the person at the window is supposed to do right..?? I get to where I'm going and find only 2 of the food orders. That is someone going without breakfast because they're incompetent. I realize someone is going to say it's my fault for not checking it but my goodness it was 3 simple things.. its their job 😂 I'd be ashamed to claim it. Dinner time this place goes down hill,no matter what Manager is working it seems, they give you old cold food,and catch an attitude if you ask for fresh food. Wouldn't waste my time nor my money there. Friendly service but the food sucks. Come on get it together you'll only making sandwiches a no-brainer. Ordered 2 Doble quarter pounder and what we received was 10pcs of chicken nuggets and one doble quarter. ALL our orders 99.9% of the time are wrong, this is THE WORST McDonald’s over this area, if you can go to another restaurant please save you a headache.
