The staff was extremely friendly! There might’ve been some sort of district manager, or owner in the building, because there was one person who appeared to be a higher up, trying to offer extra items with every order he was a part of. I worked sales, and get it. But after I tell you I don’t need a coffee three times, respect the no. The food was typical McDonlds and the staff was friendly and attentive, but the service is slow for a drive thru. I still go back, but only when I know I have time to wait 10 to 20 minutes vs other McDonald’s where I can get through in less than 10 minutes. Waited over 25 minutes for food and I was the second person in line. Who knows how long the guy in front of me was waiting. I understand it’s night shift and nobody cares but your serving an average of 3 people per hour.

I was thoroughly impressed by this McDowells. I visited at 2 am to find the drive through busy which seemed odd but a good sign. After receiving my food from a friendly staff I found the food was all fresh and delicious. Bonus points for looking like a McDowells from Coming to America. Took 20 minutes to get our 2 breakfast sandwiches and 3 hashbrowns. Then when we asked for a cup for tap water we were told they don't do water cups. On the electronic menu, it was listed for $0.01 and "out of order" yet the water on the fountain machine was in working condition they refused to give us a cup to fill. I really wanna like this place but it’s just lacking in customer service where you have Uber, Doordash and other drivers waiting on their food, and sometimes they just won’t announce it and the guy is right there. My last experience, I waited close to 45 minutes for my food because the McDonald’s app took my money, but failed to properly process the order. On my app it did not show my order number, but my bank showed that the money was taken. So I will be honest, I’ve tried Union Boulevard, fountain Hill and Eastern Avenue McDonald’s and I’m sorry they all fall short. I grew up with McDonald’s and I still love it but I just can’t anymore. You can always take a chance and see if you’re lucky if you do love McDonald’s but as for me, I will probably just stay away from it and eat a salad. Went to get a late night snack. Waited in like for a half hour, to get to the speaker and the guy stated “we are only taking mobile orders or DoorDash right now”. I explained to him that we waited a really long time and it’s unfair to us because we didn’t know they were not going to take our order. A lady then came on speaker yelling at us saying how we “need to get out of line” because they aren’t serving us. She continued to yell over speaker and I explained to her that she should have someone go outside and tell the 10 cars behind us that they shouldn’t wait in line if they aren’t taking orders. She then said “oh yeah I’ll just go outside and tell every person to leave”. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. I’m assuming it was a manager because she stated “yeah call and complain, they’ll know who I am!”. I then went up to the window and a young man was standing in the window. I explained to him the same thing I said at the window and he rolled his eyes at me and gave me more attitude. I asked him for the lady’s name and he said “I’m not giving no one’s name out”, and as we were driving away he mumbled something under his breath I could not pick up. I also work with customers every day, and never would I treat people the way I was treated tonight, even if they were very short staffed. I’m extremely disappointed in this interaction.
