You Need To Know? Arrived around 5:00 p.m. on a Friday night during Lent & we were able to be seated immediately. The bartender/waitress was kind and efficient. The Sicilian pizza came recommended to us & we also had wings with the pub sauce also ordered the lobster tail dinner. The pub sauce was mild, garlic, & bbq mixed together & was excellent, highly recommend. The lobster tail comes stuffed with crab meat & French fries. The lobster was just all right for the occasion. This corner bar is a must go for a few drinks & bar food. Highly recommend! Now You Know! -TBH Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Hesitant to give them 5 stars. Only because we don't want our secret spot getting out. Best food and coldest beers around. Wonderful friendly service and try the clam night - they're the best and we're. Lucky to have them so close to home!
Jerry the owner is a nice guy but his waitress/ cook with the glasses is not the friendliest. The last three times I had not so good food . My cheese steak was half hot half cold. The pretzel bites was supposed to an appetizer got it with We did have a great waitress though were hard as a rock

Great menu. Fair prices. Tasty pizza! Friendly staff. Their fried Sicilian is amazing! Nice family owned pub. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
Our waiter was super friendly! Restaurant was very clean and food was good. They fellowed Covid procedure. Definitely going to visit again!
Recently had family visiting from and wanted to show them McAlpine specifically. Walked in at 850pm on a Saturday night to watch a basketball game at 9pm. (hours states they're open until 11pm) The owner stood behind us and announced that we were not welcome and he "wont cater to people that want to just drink beer and watch a game, because I am a restaurant and not a bar". He then closed and locked the front door and shut off the lights. Clearing closing business at around 930. I was embarrassed to bring my family here and be called out/singled out by a rude owner. I regret paying for my food and giving him business. The bartender was truly kind about the situation though. To the owner, your "20 years of restaurant experience" sucks. There are more professional ways of telling customers you are trying to close up shop.
Good food at a reasonable price. We got a Reuben, fries, onion rings, and pizza from here. The Reuben was good, the fries and onions rings were fantastic, and the pizza (for us) was a little take it or leave it. It's almost a cross between NY style and Old Forge style as it's round, has some decent coloring, but the cheese and toppings don't seem to cook too much. Some people love this, but for us the pizza was better the next day out of the broiler after the cheese browned up a bit. That being said, we got enough for leftovers so this was perfect. We'd order from here again.
