The Manager on duty was kind enough to hold my I.D. due to no payment instead of calling the cops. When I paid the next day, I ordered Two shredded Beef Enchiladas with a pollo tamale to go. This is my absolute favorite Mazatlan location of them all. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious at every location, but there's something special about this location that has an authentic cantina feel and atmosphere. Servers are friendly and food is always fresh. My favs are the cheese enchilada, chalupa, tacos and rolled taquitos. My husband's favorite is the chimichanga. I ALWAYS get a 20oz classic margarita with my dinner, which is perfectly strong and the rim salted well. The margaritas here are better than The Margarita Factory in Beaverton. This is a family-friendly restaurant, though there's enough nooks for a low-key date night or hanging out with friends. We came here once with out-of-town friends, a party of five, and the servers just threw some tables together and we had a great time. The one ding I'd give was the Piña Colada I ordered (once) though tasty, was very weak and was basically juice, so I'm sticking with the margaritas. The pico de gallo is DELICIOUS, which I use with a bit of salt for my chips instead of the salsa, which is a tad too spicy for me. I personally am not a fan of the tri colored chips, I prefer just regular tortilla chips, but I'll overlook that for all the other good food. Can't wait for my next meal here! Yum! Everything was awesome, food was amazing (note that the ground beef is not amazing, but acceptable, kinda reminded me of school ground beef) the service was fast and friendly. Gotta love Mazatlan. . We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked through the door, free chips and salsa were cooked fresh, and the salsa was a strong medium heat, and very delicious. I had a beef enchilada with rice and beans, and a proper sized guava margarita. The rice and beans hasn't changed for decades. Still gotta be using real lard for the beans. (I didn't ask) the enchilada wasn't overly greasy and was seasoned well. The only complaint I could think of is it could be a bit spendy, my meal came out to just under $11, but I also got the cheapest thing I could find on the menu. My dining companions averaged about $17 a plate. This place is wonderful. I highly recommend it. Haven't been here in years; Decided to stop for dinner tonight. The restaurant was clean. It was also pretty empty, although it was a Tuesday night. We enjoyed their cocktails; they were properly poured and were tasty. Was surprised to hear they have up to a 42oz cocktail! My wife enjoyed the combination fajitas, and I had the enchiladas rancheras. Drinks were Miami ice and Alabama slammer. The service was top notch, our waiter was on top of our every need; we never had to call anyone to check on us. The food was a bit on the mild flavored side; but while we were there, the only two other tables asked for mild salsa and ranch. How grossly white; which I'm sure is why they talor their food to a mild pallet. A pleasant visit over all, and will return. Update: the owner quickly responded with a positive response. I really respect an owner whom replies quickly and non defensively. It shows that they care. Server was amazing and sweet. She was able to help w/suggestions as this was my first visit. I had pork carnitas and is was so yummy. The server let me know they can run out of this dish often on Friday and was lucky it was available. Very popular. I also got a top self margarita🍹that was well made and not light on alcohol 🙃loved it too. I will return often and highly recommend this place. Anddddd REAL fried icecream here (often hard to find) is was good The only con.....and for any restaurant...carpets hold odors...they should all have stone floors. PRICES are very reasonable.
