This place is a historical restaurant that has been around forever in Plant City. We'll I usually get fish sandwich really like that it is done in peanut oil. Of course, fries, sweet tea always good stuff at "Maryland".

I’ve lived in plant city my entire life and have been a loyal customer this past experience, as as you can say, put a bad taste in my mouth.
After ordering a meal as I return home, find out that the order was completely incorrect after giving them a call explaining my situation. I was told very abruptly. Oh just bring it back, not an apology. We will do something extra for you just bring it back so as I did, I didn’t get a oh sorry for the inconvenience just here’s your food so the review I’m giving this time. Hope you can train your employees a little bit better. I will continue to come to Maryland fried chicken, but I will double check my order just like McDonald’s.
Tried to call at 6:00 pm to place an order. Phone was continuously busy. So I drove a half hour from Zephyrills. Come to find out they had a batch of chicken coming up but it was accounted for and they were not making anymore. I asked if there was a reason they were not answering the phone? After a deer in headlights look. The answer was because we are out of chicken. Well had you answered your phone and told me that I would not of wasted an hour of my time driving here and back. Deer in the headlights look again. Sorry! Great customer service. Would have been a first time customer but not anymore Maryland Fried Chicken. You may want to answer your phone and give the courtesy to your customers to let them know you are out of chicken.

I was born and raised in this town and to go here to eat was such a treat!!! But now I don’t know what the hell happened to this place!! Definitely not the same anymore!! They changed the recipe or something the coleslaw was always my favorite was even gonna order it for my wedding but after tasting it today hell no!!!! Definitely not good anymore!! Iv always been told if it ain’t broke don’t fix it what were you guys thinking when you changed all of this!!! Very disappointed 🤦🏻♀️💔!!!! This place was such a landmark and worth bragging about but not anymore!!!!!!!😢

There were pieces of fried chicken spine, (as in the scraps from cutting up the pieces!) in our order rather than the amount of chicken we ordered. We used to love this place, but I probably won't be going back. Deep fried garbage shouldn't be part of a large order like that.
