We went here for our anniversary. The food was amazing. I had the Shrimp and Crab Melba, and my husband had the seafood platter. Taste I would give a 110%...portion size was a little lacking. I will attach pics for you to be the judge. With that said...we would definitely return. Even in smaller portions, it was good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to, period. The perfect place. Price: about $20 per dish. We had boiled crab claws (not pictured), stuffed fish (pictured), and stuffed shrimp (pictured). They were all wonderful. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Seafood
We have eaten at Mary Mahoney’s Old French House Restaurant many times. We really love the ambiance and the decor. This is actual old house converted to a restaurant. The food is always good and the service is friendly and prompt. There are several dining rooms here and if you have a preference a reservation is highly recommended. Well-worth the visit when in Biloxi! Went a few years ago and decided to give it another try for lunch today. Great prices and portions for lunch. Everything was tasty and fresh. Having lived in Nola and elsewhere on the Coast, I think Mary’s gumbo really is superb. The oysters were fresh and flavorful and the soft shell crab was good and fresh. My only notes are 1) they were out of crab claws unfortunately and 2) depending on the day/crowd, you may not get seated in the older traditional rooms (that I think make the experience better). Don’t listen to the haters, come stop by and give it a try. It’s a great local restaurant. It isn’t French or Cajun cooking, but everything is a great presentation of local cuisine and seafood. Great food! Great atmosphere! We loved the court yard at lunch time. It was very shady and plenty of cool breeze. We had the Queens stuffed fish and shrimp & grits, which were very delicious. The lunch portions are pretty big. The crab cakes were also great! We also had the gumbo and it was outstanding. The chocolate cake was very rich and delicious. Very romantic and relaxing lunch. Alex was our waiter and he was one of the best waiters we have had in a long time. We will definitely be back. We went here at my 83yo mom’s request. Had lunch and marveled at the Hurricane waterline signs so high on different walls. Good service, knowledgeable staff, excellent food. Reasonable prices at lunch
Thanks to Danielle!! Our server who had worked 30 years there MADE our night so special. She told us stories of Katrina, history of the restaurant and even gave us a tour of the wine cellar! Food was amazing of course but, good service can make your night!

My parents and my dad's parents ate here back in the early 70's and they raved about how great the food was. My mother was so jealous that I went to eat there. I must say the food is fabulous. I thought the price was on point. It is expensive but it's so worth it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
